    (Fire Haslett now!!!!!!!!!)

(You heard me, can his sorry ass right now. I can't believe what I didn't see at the whiners game. That was a must win game and his unit just didn't step up to the plate when they had to. The whiners fielded a sub standard O-line and we couldn't get to Smith all game. I mean how on earth can you lay a goose egg in the sack column when the entire starting left side of the line is out.

Atogwe misses Bryant for a 70 yard score and Tino overruns a run play to let Gore trample in from 30 yards. I tell ya I'm as mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore. Haslett quite obviously called a very conservative game that day. Defensive genius my ass, It's as if he thinks he's the CEO of some large corporation or something. Guy couldn't organise an orgy in a brothel.

Haslett should stop thinking about the big picture and start looking at the itty-bitty stuff. Where's his perspective for chrissakes?

I think our D-line is old and soft, I think our corners are shy of hitting and I think our linebackers, especially that wimp Tino are doing too much dancing around behind the line.)

    Now..........................(Takes a deep breath)

How silly does that all sound?

haha!! good one. my fingers were ready to put some serious dents on my keyboard.
good point though, i kinda think there's alot of over reacting going on rite now and almost everyone with a name on the team is getting heat from the fans. It needs to stop.

You have got to be kidding me. We've given up 38 points in two games. That's an average of 19 points a game. I can gaurantee you that average is a drop from last year's average under Larry Marmie's coordination.

Actually we've given up 30 points for an avearge of 15 per game.

If Haslett doesn't put the heat on Warner this week we will be doomed. Hopefully the heat will come from the front 4 so we don't have to blitz all that much. Contain Edge and pressure Warner are the keys IMO.

Duh. My bad. I was thinking of our point total (18) in the first game. You're totally right. Good call. 15 points a game. Now that's got to be a big drop from Marmie's numbers in the first two games. I'll look those up.

    Re: (Fire Haslett now!!!!!!!!!)

Well, this may be of interest.

Our first two games last year were against...go figure...

    San Francisco (away)

    Arizona (away)

We lost to San Francisco 25-28, and we beat Arizona 17-12.

So Marmie's defense gave up 40 points the first two weeks.

For the record, there were only 3 games last season that we gave up less than 20 points, and that was one of them.

I was thinking as I read the post that, yes those two quick touchdowns we gave up lastweek hurt, but this guy is stil better than Marmie. I witnessed the game at home vs Denver and that was a lot better team. Agreed I never ever want to lose to Frisco, buit were still young. I have a feeling payback will be dealt when we play them at home....

OK, wink, wink..... I thought you were going insane.

On a bright note, and I know it's still early in the season, I believe the D is ranked 10th(?). Much better than last year, and it can get better.

Haslett for secratary of defense! The Niner game was just a small terrorist attack. we will win the war when the line is rebuilt! And the offense can convert to the plan! Can't go 3 & out and expect the D to cover your ass ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!:x

    Great post.

It sounds just as silly as trading Bulger for Moss, or that our WRs are part of our problem in the offense, or that we should bench Bulger for Frerotte because he "knows" the system etc etc etc.
