First it's J-Lau, now it's Chris Long
First it was Laurinaitis who got ripped by not being selected to the Pro Bowl.
Now, it's Long: JPP, of course, had to decline the Pro Bowl (for the Super Bowl). His replacement is Julius Peppers.
Peppers: 37 tackles, 11 sacks
Long: 37 tackles, 13 sacks
Now, IMO, both Chris Clemons and Trent Cole have a bigger bone to pick with this snub, but I think Long does as well.

Our players are going to continue to get snubbed until we go 8-8 or make the playoffs. How on earth could Peppers make it over Long? Long im willing to bet had double the QB pressures that Peppers did. Popularity contest...

Exactly the pro bowl is a popularity contest and that needs to change the best players need to go.But unfortunately it never will and this situation will happen every year with many players not going that are more deserving than some players that made it.

Yeah, those awards are all well and good....but if we were winning then I would care....now we have more important things to worry about....

Actually, if this team were winning there would be GOOD reason for not including Laurinaitis and Long in the Pro Bowl.........they'd be playing in a much larger Bowl. Originally Posted by richtree
