What's everyones first couple offseason moves that'll get the ship back upright.

Re: First offseason moves
Maine,
I'm with you on both of these. Armey should make the personel decisions and management needs to "help" or nudge Martz into making better coordinator decisions.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: First offseason moves
1. Fire Marmie
2. Get Pace signed
3. Find an impact LB in FA (if there is one in our price range)"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: First offseason moves
I don't care if they fat or thin
I don't care if they are tall or small
If they can' tackle the man with the ball
I don't want them on my team at all."I was the originator of smack. Some guys rattle with smack; with other guys it rolls right off their shoulders like nothing. "

Re: First offseason moves
1. Straighten out the LB corp.
2. Fire everyone in the secondary. Everyone. All of them.
3. Tell DLew he better pull his head out or he'll be playing in Calgary soon.
4. Sit Faulk down and explain to him he's a third down back now, so that contract has to be renegotiated.

Re: First offseason moves
c'mon mate... the secondary is just not that bad... with a little more help up front i think that Fisher and Butler are serviceable (although Butler is clearly a nickel).. Edwards deserves another year but maybe its time to say bye bye to Arch (after all with no pass coverage skills and unable to make open field tackles what good is he).. can;t believe Coady is still on the roster
personally i would rather clear out the LB's over the DB's

Re: First offseason moves
My whole problem with the secondary is this:
We had 5 INT's all year by Butler only. 5. That's it. Fisher played ok, but he whiffed on way too many tackles. Archuleta's back and coverage skills have pushed him out as a liability. Fisher and Butler are nickel corners. Coady, Groce, Garrett.....all a waste of locker space.

Re: First offseason moves
I have a feeling that the one coach who might not be back is Kollar.

Re: First offseason moves
I'm not so sure about Kollar, of all the areas where the defense seemed to improve was the line.
However, improvement is only as useful as the "improvement" is. I mean, you can shine a piece of dung, all that it turns out to be is shiny dung.

Re: First offseason moves
The reason I think that is that Kollar is not a Marmie guy (he predates Marmie and, frankly, has an entirely different personality), and there may be a need for a scapegoat.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: First offseason moves
This will be a severe injustice if this is how it plays out. The only defensive unit that showed any improvement was the D-line (Thank you Kennedy, Pickett, Fisher, & Hargrove). And yet, the thought that Kollar could go down as the scapegoat...wow, that would be bad.
