First Road Win!!
And I missed most of it.
One of the reasons I dislike late games. I leave for evening church services about the time the second half starts. This one I missed the first qtr having my heat pump checked out by a friend.
It is good to see the RAMS come out on top, even with things going against them. I read that they scored points off of turnovers. That is two things they haven't done lately, get turnovers, and then score.
I did see Sam throw a bad pick in the endzone. Just a bad decision, but it started with a bad decision to throw a pass. Steven Jackson was tearing it up, and they throw a play action pass, into double coverage. Not a smart call by the OC.
I really wish I could have seen the second half, to erase that bad things I had seen in the second qtr. Maybe NFL Network will do me a favor and show it this week.
The best part, no matter how we got there, was a W in the W/L column.
Doing it on the road is a good sign for this young team.

Re: First Road Win!!
Love the optimism, but the Rams have no chance at a postseason this year. This team had problems today with a third string, sixth round pick. The Birds have NO offense and a third string QB under center, yet lead at halftime. The Rams won, and swept the season series with the Cards, but you can't really believe this team will go toe to toe again with the Whiners next week. Last game the Whiners overlooked us, played their worst game of the year, used their backup QB for most of the game, and still managed to overcome a 14 point deficit to tie us and setup for the winning FG in overtime. They won't overlook us again this year.
The Rams are going to be a force in the NFCW in two years. But not this year. Not yet.
It's good to get the win, but it should have been expected. Put things into perspective. This team is a long way from being a playoff contender.Faithful Rams fan since 1968

Not sure if you have been paying much attention to the 9ers but they promoted that back up QB to the starting QB. He is now 2-0 as a starter. looked great against the Bears. I don't think we will make the playoff but I do expect us to have a good game next week at home against the 9ers.

Re: First Road Win!!
maybe i was a little too hyped up. i do not expect the rams to make the playoffs honestly. i do expect us to at least be competitive with the whiners. i expect the rams to be competitive every week, no matter what. in my opinion the rams will hand them an L as they should have the last time they met. i might be a little high on the win today, but i love my team and i'm always behind them 100%. i'm sure you all back the rams up as much as i do, but i hate the negativity i see at times! the light at the end of the tunnel is close fellas! just let em play!

Re: First Road Win!!
No doubt that today's win was huge but I don't see this as any indication that the Rams are a playoff contender. It was a big win because like the title says it was a young team's first road win. The Cards have lost 7 in a row, 2 to the Rams. In fact a loss to a team of that caliber even on the road would have been a devastating blow to the psyche of the team.

I have tivo, and it is the reason I don't have NFL Sunday ticket. I would have to pay tivo twice if I turned off cable and turned on DirecTV (to get NFLST). One monthly payment would be for two unusable Cable/OTA boxes, and one would be for the DTV boxes. Tivo will not allow me to roll one into the other. Needless to say, when my one year is up with tivo, it is highly unlikely that I will continue paying tivo for their "services".

If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.
