    to be fair...

it's unfair to expect 2nd year and rookie guys to be able to make something out of NOTHING

no holes...no help....they'd at least be average if there was an actual place to run

The run isn't going to get fixed until the line gets better. A lot of our rushing attempts were met in the backfield on Thursday. Adrian Peterson and S-Jax would have struggled to gain yardage under those circumstances.

Just a quick comment on this.

According to local sports stations Pead was inactive because they planned to have Austin lining up in the backfield and running the ball a lot Thursday night... For whatever reason... they didnt.

Yeah, that's what Fisher said about Pead. He also said they didn't use Austin in the backfield because they got behind. The trouble with that explanation is that the Rams didn't get behind until the end of the second quarter. Why plan for something, and wait until the second half to implement it? Simply ridiculous.

Regardless of what Fisher said, apparently Pead was in the doghouse for breaking a team rule.

As for Pead, Fisher was asked if he was benched strictly for football issues. Pead has had some off-field issues, and not just the one-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

“Well, he’s had a couple moments, yeah, over the last couple of weeks,” Fisher said, in a possible reference to showing up late for a team meeting or missing a curfew. “But, I didn’t put him down because of that.”

Plus I believe Pead was quoted after the game as saying he has to make better decisions.

I hear you to a point but Jackson ran behind worse lines than the 2013 Rams. These guys aren't in the same league as Jackson. They look bad.

I think a more appropriate (albeit longer) headline would be

"Rams will focus on running game, passing game, pass protection, special teams play, defensive line pressure and catching the football"
    Nick and macrammer like this.
