No, not Drew Bennett, he is due to sign with the Washington Redskins. They could use some help at the WR position, and they seem to like every player we either let go or don't resign. Pace, Tinosomoa, and crew. So, I think that if we don't take him back, Washington will. (this is kind of a joke, but at the same time, still kind of true.)

I read that Adam Archuleta was the premier star of the draft, which is not saying much. J.P. Losman was also expected to sign up with a team. Now all this league needs is a run-to-the-football coin toss and we got ourselves another XFL! Yeeeeeee-haaaahhhhh!

Hey, the XFL had some great things going for it, like the no fair catching on punts and the stri... I mean cheerleaders being just this side of pole dancers. Not to mention of course the lack of rules protecting players as opposed to the pansy game that the NFL is becoming.

Losman didn't catch on with another NFL team ? I thought he was ok, nothing special but I figured he would be a backup for someone.

    Losman not on UFL roster

    Chris Brown
    Posted June 19th, 2009

The fledgling United Football League held their inaugural “draft” last night, but J.P. Losman does not appear on any of the four rosters… yet.

The draft wasn’t exactly a draft in the traditional sense as there was a pointed effort by the UFL to balance the rosters for better competitive play.

All of the rosters are right here, and though Losman, who was rumored to be playing for Jim Fassel’s Las Vegas club, does not appear on the Las Vegas roster or any other. However, the Las Vegas club curiously does not have a quarterback. Hmmmmmm.

The other three clubs all have at least one signal caller on their roster as a result of the draft. San Francisco in fact has three quarterbacks. Perhaps Losman had second thoughts or is “negotiating” contract terms.

Of course the UFL is such an underpublicized league it’s hard to know what to think. There are rumors that Michael Vick may sign with Orlando in July as well as Tim Rattay.

I was a little surprised about Losman when I read that as well. He certainly wasn't anything to write home about, but I figured that he was good enough to catch on as someone's #2.

I'd also be a little surprised if it was money. They can't be paying him more in this league than he would make as a backup in the league. Even if money was the case, I'd think it would be more valuable for him to stay in the league and be seen than make a few more dollars in the UFL.
