Fourteen plays 84 yards!
That was a hell of a drive. On the road in the rainy and cold conditions. A fourteen play drive to win it, are you kidding me!

Re: Fourteen plays 84 yards!
I thought there was a decent amount to criticize Shotty for in terms of play calling up to that point, but he called some great plays on that drive. Specifically the two-point conversion play, I thought was fantastic.

Fourteen plays 84 yards!
The issue with Schotty is that he is inconstant as a play caller. We run when we should pass , pass when we should run, it's befuddling... With the rams at least showing promise ending the season, you'll see him as the o coach next season. This will help Bradford develop even further ...

Re: Fourteen plays 84 yards!
Bradford came through big time in the clutch. A couple of weeks in a row. That will get it done.

Re: Fourteen plays 84 yards!
I agree, befuddling... I just don't get it. We had some nice runs with SJax up the middle and then we go shot gun. We do not even use the play-action, we just show our hand.
Not sure if its his scheme or what, but Kendrick should be used down the seam more then once a game.
It seems like when we have too score then they pick up the tempo and try to get some big plays. But not until we are dead in the water. I'm not a Schotty fan.
I hope it gets better.Last edited by Rambos; -12-09-2012 at 09:36 PM.

Re: Fourteen plays 84 yards!
Befuddling is a good word for it. Perhaps with more experience in the system it will start making more sense. Just being optimistic..
But I know what you mean..the last few weeks we've been struggling for first downs, we have SJax, and it's be 3rd and 1. Run play, correct? Nope, deep pass down the sideline. Deep pass over the middle.
2nd and short: Good time to take a shot, right? Nope, run.
Once they offense is forced to pass the ball, it seems things pick up a bit though. Would be much most interesting to see the offense with Givens getting better, a #1 receiver, and Danny healthy.

Re: Fourteen plays 84 yards!
I would be happier if the Rams where better at running screen-plays and had a more exotic running attack to keep the opponents defense guessing. But I still think the Rams need to address 3 key needs--the O-line, secondary help and WRs
