Fox Sports NFC West Prediction

Adam Schein's from Fox Sports predictins for the NFC West:

Quote:
NFC West
1. Seahawks 11-5
2. Rams 9-7*
3. Cardinals 7-9
4. ***** 4-12

Seahawks: The Seattle defense will be even better than the great unit in 2005. Julian Peterson is healthy and ready to explode. Plus, Lofa Tatupu has a year under his belt and the defensive line is deep. The win total will drop this year but Seattle will still capture the division under Mike Holmgren's guidance and the skill of Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck. But I am concerned about the health of Pork Chop Womack, Darrell Jackson, and Jerramy Stevens.

Rams: The Rams are going to be a much improved football team this year. The playoffs are a real possibility. Scott Linehan is a welcomed change as the new head coach, while former Saints head man Jim Haslett takes over for the overmatched Larry Marmie. The St. Louis tackles are nasty, with Orlando Pace still among the game's elite and future Pro Bowler Alex Barron at right tackle. Linehan will run the ball much more, which will equal two very important things; a breakout season for Steven Jackson and Marc Bulger lasting a full season.

Cardinals: I think the Cardinals will challenge for the playoffs into December, but ultimately fall short. This team finally gets a legit home-field advantage with a brand new stadium. Though the coaching on the offensive line has vastly improved under Steve Loney, the talent is still relatively weak. But this offense can be explosive with Edgerrin James running the ball and Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald catching passes. The defense can be competitive, but I am a bit concerned about the injuries to Bertrand Berry and Karlos Dansby.

*****: I'm rollin' with Nolan. But just because I like the direction the ***** are headed in under Mike Nolan ( who has had two very good drafts, and was wise to hire Norv Turner to mentor Alex Smith, and to jettison clubhouse cancer Kevan Barlow), doesn't mean I think they are going to win a lot this year.

* = wild card

Re: Fox Sports NFC West Prediction

That's the first prediction I've seen with the Rams mentioned as a possible playoff team. Got to love it.

Re: Fox Sports NFC West Prediction

I'm getting tired of hearing Hussledork being mentioned as an elite QB. He is far from it,and the squawks have WR's Bobby Engram,D.J. Hackett, Willie Ponder, Darrell Jackson, and Nate Burleson.

I just don't see a prolific offensive attack from this group. Line up eight in the box to shut Alexander down and game over.
