When I look at the signed list, it's amazing how much better a team can become by signing good, quality players, instead of a bunch of overpaid primadonna "superstars" ...

    Just WOW!

    That remains to be seen....

But I think the Rams did a decent job. Not great, but decent. Only time will tell.

This has been one of the better off seasons we've had in recent memory. I'm pretty excited about our additions.

It looks like a dang good offseason to me. 4-5 holes have been filled by players who have proven they can succeed. Not sure what more you can ask for.

Amazing offseason for me too. Filled in many holes with great players. Our team will be much improved next year.

It's good so far, what'll make this great is if we re-sign Clayton. That chemistry he's developed with Bradford and the way he learned Shurmur's WCO at such a short period of time is something we need for insurance also.

But is he a fit in the McDaniels offense? It's just something to consider.

    Re: free agency so far...

The optimism on this forum is pretty extreme sometimes. I like the Dahl pickup and Diles is an improvement (thats not saying much, though). Picking up Mikell was a net wash for me. You can say this or that about how well who fits into where, but OJ was a playmaker and was a force on the field.

Our offensive line will be able to block for the run more effectively, which is a notable positive. Other than that, the real improvement to our team came in the first round of the draft. I think the Rams will be better next year, but that will come from maturation, not these FA transactions.

If your looking for an amazing off season, look at the Eagles or the Patriots. The Rams can only afford the scraps left behind by other teams. People want to spin this as a smart FO making the most with what they have, I call it filling the roster. Maybe the FO is tied down by a lack of cap room, but we operate under the same rules as everyone else. So far, C+.

    Re: free agency so far...

We are a young, rebuilding, up and coming team. We are not a player or a piece away from a Super Bowl team or deep play off push, we don't need to take the Premier, "name" free agents and/or primadonna's.

When you have your (future) superstars at key positions on both sides of the ball filled the only thing you have to do is fill the team with reliable, solid (role) players. This way you can keep building the team through drafts something that has shown to be succesfull in the past, with different organisations, and in the present.

That's what this offseason has brought so far.

If you read up on the different players that's what I'm seeing for most of them, solid, reliable, capable players. Will they all stick (including rookies) obviously not, what it does bring is competition at different positions, which makes any team better.

Is it bold or we making NFL Network headlines, no. Should we care? If you want all the big names there's always Fantasy Football or Madden.

The Patriots? No, I do not think so. Ochocinco is a great addition, but Haynesworth is a joke. The Eagles probably made some of the best moves overall, but it is going to take time to see how every teams additions play out.

I love how Rams fans are criticized for optimism and are told to wait and see how things turn out, but every analyst just automatically assumes that Haynesworth will bring value to the Pats and they will have this huge benefit. Just because some talking head on the espn/NFL network thinks it is the best move of the ages does not make it so.

I also call it filling the roster, because that is what teams do in the NFL.
A defeated look of consternation, dissappointment, or even pain. The name derives from the look one often gets when challenged by a large BM.
