Fun (or not) with the NFL salaries database

USA Today's got the NFL salaries database updated to include this season. One of my favorite online sports features.
http://asp.usatoday.com/sports/footb...s.aspx?team=28

Here's some factoids I dug up, feel free to add your own:
* Marc Bulger's the NFL's 2nd-highest player this season. 17.5 mil. That's not the team record; Orlando Pace made 18 mil in 05.

* Of the ten highest-paid players, Dwight Freeney, Bulger, Leonard Davis, Gaines Adams, Robert Geathers, Corey Redding, Derrick Dockery, Reggie Bush, Chris Dielman and Larry Johnson, how many will even be in the Pro Bowl this year? 2? Freeney can't play because he's out for the season.

* Projecting to 36 receptions this season, and I accounted for the 2 games he missed with injuries, Drew Bennett will make $264,000 a catch. Projecting to 38, Randy McMichael is a MUCH more economical $118,500 per. (Granted, figures are skewed by the two players' signing bonuses)

* I paid $10 more a seat this year, while the Rams got $5 mil in profit sharing from the league, paid $4 mil less in total payroll, while Georgia bought a new house, and the team's likelier to be struck by lightning than to win 4 games. :x

the one that jumps out at me is since the superbowl, the Rams payroll has went from 58k to 100k, almost doubled

OR NOT! OMG Frerote got 3.5 M in 2007. I just threw up a little in my mouth. Our boy Fitz? 435K. Carriker looks to be the best value unless I missed something. What is really sick is what you get for $100 million these days. I think I have a hose around here somewhere that will slip nicely into my van's tailpipe. ACK! gorams.

OJ Atogwe is a steal, my favorite player. Has 4 picks (7th in the league, 3rd best total in the league), 9th FS in tackles, 6th FS in passes defended, and is still making below $1 million. Easily a top 10 FS IMO.

It jumped something like $26 mil from 05 to 06, which I blipped right by trying to figure out why it was down from 06 to 07.

A million here, a million there, pretty soon we'll be talking about real money.

So how many years is bulger's contract?

Is it one of those deals where it's technically a 3 year deal where we would owe some money to keep him beyond that, or cut him?

I think Bulger signed a 6 year contract I'm pretty sure.

I find it amusing that Gaines Adams is on that list, yet none of the other draft picks are, as well as Reggie Bush the year AFTER he got his signing bonus. How much is he making, jeez!
