    Getting some love!

    OK...

As most of you know, I am a person that doesn't like to face some of the horrible things and decisions the Rams have made in both the past and present. I am the one who wears rose colored glasses all the time. I don't like to hear about all the sorrows and woes. I hear enough crap living in Minnesota about the team I love, and I don't like hearing it from fellow Rams fans. SO...

In honor of the Holiday Season, and in order to generate some positive karma for the season end. Anyone that responds to this thread and gives three (new) positive comments about the Rams will get positive rep-points from me. I WILL SHOW YOU THE LOVE!!

So what say you! Lets stroke some egos and lets end this season on a good note.

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

**WARNING--If you decided that you can't give three positives and your post becomes negative, expect some bad karma back.

    Okay, I'm game...

We have one of the best young RBs in football...

We had a good draft this year (Hill, Adeyanju, Setterson, Klop)...

The Front Office has done a good job getting the salary cap in shape ($30 million to spend this offseason)...

    How's that?

    Hmm ok

Unfortunately for Marc, he's underrated, but we all know he's probably one of the best QB's in the NFL. Definitely one of the most accurate.

Very happy with Steven Jackson. I gave him some crap and I must say I was totally wrong about him. I am very thrilled with Jackson, and its good to know he's a guy that cares a lot about his team.

Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce...Need I say more? They're Gods!

    Re: Getting some love!

Fakhir Brown was a pleasant surprise as a free agent addition.

The kind of mistakes our offensive linemen are making are the kind that can be fixed with better mental discipline, which is IMO a major improvement over some years in the recent past where we simply didn't have the talent.

We seem to be taking special teams a lot more seriously under the new coaching staff with additions like Isaiah Kacyvensky, Paul Smith, and Willie Ponder. Matt Turk is having about as good a season as any punter in the league, and Jeff Wilkins doesn't miss.

Also, looking at the season as a whole, we've done a better job this year at maintaining a balanced offense.

    Re: Getting some love!

We beat the Whiners to end our losing streak to them.

Marc Bulger is our leader on offense and proved it with his latest communication to the media. Hats off to Marc.

Head Coach Linehan has our offense playing sound fundamental football on the offensive side of the ball. He has allowed us the opportunity to see just how good Steven Jackson is. We have cut down on the turnovers.

    We have the HORNS.

    Re: Getting some love!

Spoon is a great FA pick up, if he stays at MLB or is moved outside, we got a really young and talented guy in Spoon.

That fact that we have signed Tino and Little during the season shows commitment on both parties to take us back to the glory days. Tino and Little could have tested the market and would have got some big dollars. Little would have cost us the franchise tag; itís nice to see these deals get done.

Hill as mentioned is a solid player and will be better from the get next year with a year under his belt.

Linehan will have one year under his belt, his plate will not be as full going into this off season, both he and Haslett should have more time to find the players to fill our needs.

Both the offense and the defense will not have to battle the learning cure next year; which should help to get us off to a faster start.

Cog has had some issue but has played well for the most part as really a rookie.

SJ, I was on the fence going in, well Iím off we have another great Rams running back.

ST, punt and kick off cover have improved with the depth we have brought in, not holding my breath every time we kick.

    Re: Getting some love!

We signed Turk, an unsung hero.

Linehan didn't let his ego take over and he gave up the playcalling.

Holt went over 10,000 yards receiving.

    NUMBER 3..

The RAMS have agreed to a new marketing deal with Russell Atheletic Ware.

    NUMBER 2..

Next years schedule has been released and we can spend the rest of the season thinking of reasons we'll start next year eight and 0.

AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON TO BE EXCITED ABOUT THIS YEARS TEAM...

Coach Linehan is no longer calling his own plays.

    (BONUS)

Travis Fisher was placed on injured reserve.

    Re: Getting some love!

Our TE position has been shored up with Klopfenstein and Walker. It is only a matter of time before that position begins paying big dividends in our passing game, including our red zone efficiency.

We have a "sleeper" sitting on the sidelines named Jon Alston. His reputation coming out of college as an aggressive playmaker will only help Haslett get his attacking defense where he wants it.

As Ponder learns the kick return schemes our special teams coach has implemented he will only get better, improving the battle of field position in our favor.

There are alot of great pieces of the puzzle already in place on this team. With time and a few more pieces we will be in pretty good shape for years to come.

    Excellent post, RamWraith!

    Re: Getting some love!

Marc Bulger (tied) fastest to 15,000 passing yards.

Steven Jackson, true to his word, has kept his mouth shut and became a bull at running back. He is also a great checkdown receiver and has shown he is ready to carry the team on his back for years to come.

Fahkir Brown and Tye Hill look to be set at CB with O.J. becoming a ball hawk at S.

    Great idea Wraith.

You gotta love the fact that guys like Kennedy, Pisa, Timmerman and Smith play with heart and toughness by refusing to be sidelined despite broken bones.

Isaac Bruce continues to be Isaac Bruce and week after week climbs the ladder of all-time receiving achievements on his way to the HOF.

We're still alive in the playoff race only a game off the pace!
