Good move for Gilyard. I'm disappointed about Lewis because - even tho it was always against second strings - he looked to have a lot of good things about him. Guess we hoped he'd fall to the PS but good luck to him...I think he might have a future.

Selvie claimed by the Panthers / Diles to Bucs too. Avery not claimed so we have to pay his base salary anyway.

Non-Rams...Chester Taylor to the Cards is interesting.

Shurmur clearly still likes Lewis, and probably good backup for McCoy since he already knows Shurmur's system. I wonder if Gilyard is to try to replace Brad Smith for the Jets.

Losing The Thadiator to freakin' Shurmur sucks & I don't like the two QB set up much.

At least there'd be some solace if Mardy helps The Jets beat The Pats at some point.Then he can revert to form & muff a punt to help The Rams beat Ryan's Rabble in The SuperBowl...lol..

As I've posted elsewhere, I hope Avery dangles & The Rams can get him back if needed. I'm sure his agent would gouge The Rams for it but I think they'd get more return than they did with Fakhir Brown in similar circumstances.

Given the Kroenke connection, I think the WalMart alternative career path for former Rams might lead to janitorial services now, rather than a cushy front door gig, though.

Hugely disappointed with Lewis being cut and even more so now that he signed elsewhere. IMO Lewis is better at every aspect of the QB game than Feeley, plus he's much younger. More agile, more elusive, more accurate when on the run OR stationary, better reader of defenses, better at going through WR progressions. The only thing Feeley has is the ability to mentor Bradford from his experience, and apparently that is all the Rams wanted in their backup. But if Bradford goes down I have ZERO cinfidence in Feeley, no matter how long he's warmed the bench in the NFL.

Sorry TL didn't make it to practice squad but... against starters and at full speed I would rather have AJ taking the snaps.

Plus he is more beneficial to Bradford than Lewis was to the team.
