Given the pre-draft lull, yet another Bradford question/poll.

    Two parter:

    A. Do you think this is Bradford's make-it or break-it year?

(As in, Rams draft another QB next year). YES or NO - regardless of how the draft goes, no "ifs or conditionals".

    B. (If yes), What will be the basis for the call?

    Games won or personal stats.

A No but I expect to see continued progression

B N/A since I do not think this next year is make or break

Ultimately it will be Bradford and the team bringing home some hardware........

    A. Yes

(Not that I agree, I'd keep Bradford forever) but I think Fisher will have seen enough at the end of this year, and will tell SK "Pay him what he wants", or "We'll be drafting a new QB next year".

    B. Personal stats. (Too much power in that division).

Do you think this is Bradford's make-it or break-it year? No

I think if he puts up similar numbers to last year, the Rams will extend his contract, making it possible to keep adding more pieces by reducing his cap hit.

What will be the basis for the call?
For the Rams to move on from Bradford and start over he would have to fall off a cliff as far as his play goes. Look at all the so, so NFL QB getting paid Romo, Flynn, Palmer ect.. The last thing Fisher and Les want is in year three is to start all over with a rookie QB. They both will be up against it in year three and do not want to take a step back. The expectations are already high going into 2013.

My prediction is Bradford has his best year. Fisher has already hinted that Bradford with have more control at the line of scrimmage and we will be going more up tempo. Bradford will finally be able to use his smarts and experience to take advantage of the defense.

It's his team now and he knows it.

I think Bradford's success this year will depend heavily on who we select in next week's draft. If we can land two top-notch playmakers, he'll have a breakout, pro-bowl caliber season IMO.

If we don't, there might be problems.

Its too open ended a question; what are the varibles to form an answer? First time he has had the same OC in his career...does he have any targets to throw too...does th O-line keep him up right...the absents of S. Jax/DA means what to the offesne...etc...etc

If I could predect the answer to those questions and others, I'd go out and buy a winning lottory ticket. The real measure of Bradford is what has he done to this point with what he has had. Right now its all potentual. Unlike many other QBs, like Trent Dilfer, the writing isn't on the wall. Image the Rams trade Bradford to another team and draft a new QB, and Bradford takes his new team to a SB? Where ahve we seen that happen? Oh yah--K. Warner, AZ Cardnials and not for a few bad calls AZ would have likely won that SB too

I was trying to ask the question from a GM/Coach point of view.
Personally, the thought of getting rid of SB is insane.

i'd think they'd look at austin davis before drafting another

but i don't think this is bradford's make or break year
but i do think if he doesn't do better....the staff should show some concern

I care more about this being a make-or-break year for us then Bradford. I think we have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs this year. The opportunity to seize the moment is staring us in the face, we just need to take advantage of it.

Re: Given the pre-draft lull, yet another Bradford question/poll.

I absolutely think it's a make it or break it year for Sam Bradford. Which will prove to be quite a challenge, because while he has the same offensive coordinator for the first time, he faces a totally different offense.

No Amendola but as much as that guy's been injured the last couple of years I don't know how much of a factor he is. No Steven Jackson, this is a tremendous change. While I believe the skill players are far more dependent on the offensive line than anyone cares to admit, SJ was the most consistent player for our offense and he was an excellent blocker for Bradford as well. That experience will be missed.

But, the Rams are going with some serious speed with Pead and Richardson, and I expect that Ganaway will fill in nicely for short down situations. I really like this speed and the direction they are going, but this is a huge change for the offense. They will need consistency from the upgraded line to create holes. If they do ... watch out.

Two tight end sets with Cook and Kendricks ... I think we'll see a change on the offensive philosophy that starts with the offensive line buying more time than it has in the past, and finishes with Sam taking advantage of it. They have long threats at wide receiver (Givens), running back (Pead) and tight end (Cook). This is an offense built around exploiting what the defense gives. No dominant strengths but no glaring weaknesses either. Run right, the ball will be spread around until games get out of reach.

Sam will have to play it smart, he'll have to see what the defense is giving and exploit it, he'll have to change things up and he'll have to be accurate enough to make those deep opportunities a threat the teams have to cover.

I know that's a lot, but IMO it's so obvious that Fisher pretty much forced Sam's hand to elevate his game this year, which is something that I'm excited to see. FYI I can see the Rams not drafting a wide receiver because with Pead, Cook, Givens, Quick and Pettis it's a make it or break it year for some of them too and the whole point is to spread it out and see who shines.

    A. I think Bradford has already proven himself. He is our franchise QB from here on.

    B. Not Applicable

Re: Given the pre-draft lull, yet another Bradford question/poll.

    A. Last year was his make or break year and as laram0 said he proved himself to be a franchise QB

As for this year I think it comes down to Bradford's continuity with the receivers I think thats what we need to see given that his favorite receiver went to NE and his most productive receiver went to MIA...But maybe the best receivers he has is Quick and Givens lets see continued success on offense this year
