Two drives with Jackson: Two TDs

    Seven drives without: Two FGs

Is it that simple? Probably not, but I also don't think that's purely coincidence. Jackson commands attention on the field.

Jackson make the d respect the run Leanard doesnt. Jackson opens up the passing game for Bulger and Leanard doesnt. Jackson puts fear into a defense Leanard doesnt. That pretty much sums it up.

Well, I don't know about that. They could not win while he was healthy, however, he is still a great player among several other great players.

The Browns going into the game were ranked last in defense so the fact that jaskson and the Rams started out hot was no surprise. That said, the Rams are clearly a better team with Jackson than without him.

browns are terrible on defense though...if some team has one major threat like jackson they will have a career day. i mean they let miami score 31 points against them.

For one quarter the Rams looked great.

For one quarter it was exciting to be a Rams fan again.

For one quarter I knew we were going to win the game.

For one quarter, for the first time in awhile, I was really enjoying myself.

Then Jackson went out, and everything changed. :\

I never found out what his injury was, but it looked like he could play while he was on the sideline in the second half...

I think putting so much on one person is an over-simplification.

The Browns are NOT a playoff team. A running back alone doesn't buy you much.

O-lines and a passing Game are needed to open up that run - and vice versa.

In some respect yes, but there's a lot to be said between the difference in how the Browns play Steven Jackson versus how they play Brian Leonard.

Sure, I think it's the same as if we were facing say TO or some 2nd round WR. It sure hurts not having a healthy Jackson.

I think you are underrating the impact of a good RB though.

I agree. Jackson is a difference maker, no doubt. We might have won today if he didn't get injured. But the Rams problems run alot deeper than just his absense.

But I do think the Browns have a good offense.

I agree that we need to keep jackson, it makes throwing the ball downfield easier. Running the ball sets up play-action pass.
