Goldberg goes with starting unit at RT
By Jim Thomas
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
09/19/2007
Looks like the Rams could have yet another offensive line combination Sunday in Tampa Bay.
At the start of practice Wednesday, Adam Goldberg was working with the starting unit at right tackle.
Milford Brown, who started at right tackle against San Francisco, was alternating with Claude Terrell at right guard with the first unit.
Linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, who missed the *****’ game with a sprained ankle, was doing work in individual drills.
Guard Richie Incognito (ankle) and cornerback Tye Hill (back, ribs) were not in pads and not practicing.

These injuries, just too many! Cog out? Pisa? :bash:
Goldberg, do your job well. // This is probably his biggest opportunity as an OL. I hope he fulfills it adequately.
The Rams OL must be scurryng through plans and positions ... hopefully Gorin will be ready by game 4.

We have to get Milford Brown off of the right tackle position. He was like a revolving door last Sunday.

Or how about a Matador.....OLE'

Re: Goldberg goes with starting unit at RT
Is Goldberg getting starting RT reps a reflection of Brown's performance or Terrell's, or both? After all, the reports notes that Brown is splitting reps with the 1st team with Terrell.

Re: Goldberg goes with starting unit at RT
We're just in a no win situation with the OL because of all the injuries and position changes. The reason the line got better at the end of last year was a group was able to play together and get some cohesiveness. Watching what happened on Sunday was painful with missed assignments, guys leaving double teams to block nobody, being late in rotation, getting confused by stunts and just not being on the same page. I hope Goldberg can step it up, but things are probably going to get worse before they get better. I'd positively love to be wrong here.

I'm a bit surprised that none of the 5 TE's have been used on the line in practice.

We may never get our solid running game back if the O-line can not open up holes. Surely some combination will look good, I guess we just gotta keep mixing it up or try new folks until something happens. I don't like doing that, I prefer to let my line have time to gel, but this should NOT be a rebuidling year, this is SUPPOSE to be a PLAYOFF RUN YEAR.

Sounds fine to me, Brown didn't give me any faith last weekend as a starter.
