Good News: Bartell has low ankle sprain...
Per STL Today
By Jim Thomas
Ron Bartell, the St. Louis Rams' top cornerback, suffered a low ankle sprain at Tuesday evening's practice, according to team sources.
If that's the case, Bartell may be sidelined for only a week or two.
Bartell, who is trying to rebound from a sub-par 2009 season in which he was slowed by a nagging thigh injury, had looked sharp in the early days of training camp.
He turned his ankle during a 7-on-7 passing drill Tuesday night.

Could've been a lot worse.

Given our recent injury history, we will take any good news that we can get, and this is certainly good news under the circumstances.

Definitely could have been much worse, thanks for the update Varg!

Best news I've received all day, which is weird considering I woke up this morning not even knowing Bartell was injured.
Re: Good News: Bartell has low ankle sprain...
I was reading where it looked like it was pretty bad, glad to hear it's only a week or two thing.

Too bad he'll probably get injured as soon as we start playing on that cursed turf again.

Rams GM Billy Devaney just told me that CB Ron Bartell is fine. Just a mild ankle sprain. Will miss a couple of days; that's all.

Didnt we replace the turf this year with newer higher quality astroturf?
Any way this is probably the best news we could have received. Bartell is a good corner if he can stay healthy, and he does a pretty good job of covering Fitzgerald twice a year.

I agree with you all. This is the best news I've heard all day. I was so worried with them titling the story with " significant right ankle injury". I thought here we go again.
Guys think about it, this could be really good. I mean Bartell is a veteran and he knows what to do so I feel like him missing a week will not affect his game. But it will give our youngsters a opportunity to have more reps and focus on them during camp. (Murphy, Fletcher).

Yah they did. It was the first thing they did this off-season because of all the injuries last season.
Good news on bartell though! Hope that means the football gods are working with us slightly!

Very good news, I look forward to seeing a healthy Ron Bartell play in the first preseason game.
