    Still looking for details.

Hate to see him go, I believe he'll be a steal for the Colts.

Guess the guy wanted starter reps, best of luck to him. I hope we can get a 4th rounder on him.

Seriously? He was slated to be the Rams' 5th or 6th CB (behind Finnegan, Jenkins, Fletcher and Johnson, and battling Murphy for a role). Given that the Rams signed him off the scrap heap last year, I'd say getting anything for him in a trade is a surprise.

According to Jim Thomas, Gordy was getting some snaps with the starting defense as a third corner in the nickel package as recently as Saturday.

One thing is for sure - it's nice to be in a place where we're trading away corners with starting experience, considering last year we were pulling guys off the street to suit up.

That's only because Fletcher has been dinged up.

Of all the CBs who put on a Rams uniform last year, Gordy was by far the best.

But with the return from injury of Murphy and Fletcher, the drafting of Jenkins and Johnson, and the signing of Finnegan, I think this trade was made because of the logjam at the position, more than anything else.

Gordy certainly impressed when he got his opportunity, thus the interest from the Colts.

Guys, i liked Gordy too, but let's face it, we are still building for the future and we have depth back there that is comporable to Gordy. Does anyone really want to live off the difference between Murphy, Gordy, Fletcher etc. Fletcher's injury history concerns me, but i have no problem with adding picks at this point and I trust Fisher's judgment. The colts are in sheer desparation mode in the secondary. Anyone that signs Justin King is certainly scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I hope Gordy does well, i love it when the underdog guys succeed.

As to whether its a steal or any other evaluation, how in the world can anyone have an opinion on that without knowing what the pick was and/or what the pick turns into in the future.

I have an opinion on it based on what I believe will be no better than a 6th round pick. And I base that on the fact that we paid a 5th for Brandon LLoyd.

It's not really that difficult if you follow football.

Bottom line is we would have to cut one of these guys in a few weeks, and most teams knew that. So to pick up a draft pick is a smart move IMO.

Sad to see him go, I thought he could have been a playmaker for us when needed.
