Grading QBs: Does your team have what it takes?

Peter Prisco, CBSSports.com Senior wirters graded all 32 teams QB postion.

Here is what he said about the Rams

St. Louis Rams
Starter: Marc Bulger Backups: Trent Green, Brock Berlin
The skinny: Bulger is coming off a bad season in large part because the offensive line was awful. He got killed. But the coaching staff still believes he can be a Pro Bowl-caliber passer. Green is one hit away from sitting out again. Berlin is not an NFL-quality passer.
Grade: B-

If you want to check out the other 31 teams go to Arizona Cardinals, National Football League, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens - CBSSports.com

Actually all QB's in the NFL are one hit away from a serious injury.

True, except for Bulger. You can break his ribs and concuss him, but he'll still try to gut it out!

Re: Grading QBs: Does your team have what it takes?

There are only 2 ways for a QB to get true respect from the media:

1) Be selected in the first round of the draft; or

2) Win a Super Bowl.

Even if you meet one or both of these criteria, you still might not get any respect (i.e. Trent Dilfer).

So, when I read reports rating Bulger as a mediocre QB, I just ignore them. Twelve months ago, he was coming off a Pro Bowl season and everyone had him in their Top 10 (if not Top 7) lists of QBs in the league. Twelve months from now he could easily be back on those lists.

In the end, it does not matter what the media thinks.

True. But the reason why Dilfer get's no respect is because he's just not a good quarterback. Without that insane Raven's D there's no way in hell he would have led them to/win the Superbowl.
