I'm really glad that we have improved our defense so much this offseason. One great player at every level.

Now - how much more do we have to work with assuming that we keep everyone but arch and pickett and we have to save some money to sign rookies?

Can we possibly get any offensive linemen in free agency? Maybe a backup QB if not... we very well could need it. IMO we need to get someone to move in for timmerman (love him, but he's getting old fast) and mccullom (same thing).

It's going to be impossible to tell how much money Witherspoon's contract is going to eat up until the details come out. So we'll have to wait and see on that.

I think signing a vet back-up should be a priority now. I've been waiting to see what's going on with Frerotte in Miami, as I'm sure Linehan has been as well. I think Fitzpatrick has a lot of potential, but I don't want to enter 2006 depending on him as our next best option.

Depth on the offensive line could be had in the mid rounds of the draft. Three of five offensive line positions are occupied by seasoned vets. Maybe a small contract vet for the interior, but I think we need to focus on developing our youth there primarily.

well i say we go for a tight end somewhere in this, either in the draft or in free agency, a tight end would really help us in the longrun
