I actually believe the Rams team that lost to NE was better. The '99 squad played the most mediocre schedule in the history of the SB winners, I have read, which kinda padded the stats a little. Don't get me wrong, that Rams team was good, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to say they could beat ANY other SB team with complete confidence. Their offense was ahead of it's time, so to speak, and Kurt was special, but remember, they barely beat both the Tampa Bay Bucs, and Tennessee Titans. ...and neither of those two teams were all that great. The '85 bears, the Montana-led Whiners, the Steel Curtain (early version) were all significantly better than the Bucs or Titans of '99. So, to say the Rams would be dominant against any of the truely great SB teams is really hard to say with all honesty.

But nobody can say that the '99 team wasn't fun to watch.

But that video, and how it portrays what a special guy/player Kurt is/was, is why he's my #1 Ram of all time. The '99 Rams may not be the greatest SB team of all time, but the Kurt Warner story is one of the greatest I've seen ever, in any sport.

I downloaded this a while back, probably watched it about 6-7 times so far, and now that you posted it i watched it again. One of the greatest stories ever.

Mind you that is coming from a biased fan ahah! I do believe we could take on any team though. The point being Air McNair did some magical things in that game man, some stuff that NO other QB at that time (or probably even now) could pull off. Take for example the 2nd last play where he avoided both DE's (looked like he was out to be killed) and scrambled and ripped off a 30+ yard pass to set them up at the 10!

Sure those other teams were amazing too, but I just believe the firepower this team had it was a "pick your poison". You can't stop all of us.

Thanks for posting this sosa, I was riveted to it. I feel so fortunate that we had Kurt Warner and the magic he brought to the Rams.

The word "special" gets thrown around a lot, but in the case of Kurt Warner, it's an understatement. Special story, special football player, special man.

Long live Kurt Warner.

I live in AZ, so I've talked to Cardinal fans about Warner alot. He's not a hall of fame QB. He was great, but he didn't have the career or the stats to deserve the Hall of Fame. However, I've argued time and time again that if the Hall of Fame had a section for amazing stories, Warner would lead the charge into that sub-section.

Not only my favorite football player, and not only my favorite athlete of this era; Kurt Warner is my favorite athlete from any era of sports. A class act and a stud when he was active.

No problem guys. Had a long night a few nights ago, found myself reminiscing on old times (Rams) and stumbled upon the video. I've watched the series "A Football Life" but I didn't even know they had a Kurt Warner one. Watched it, absolutely loved it, and knew that it had to be posted here.
