Greco out for wrist surgery

As the St. Louis Rams’ braintrust grapples with settling on a final 53-man roster, some bad news has arrived on the injury front. The wrist injury that guard John Greco suffered in Thursday night’s preseason win over the Chiefs turned out to be a fracture and will require surgery. Greco is expected to have the operation this weekend and probably will be out two to three weeks, according to coach Steve Spagnuolo.

well thats bad news..but when i was reading through it and it said fractured wrist , i was expecting to read that he would be out for a lot longer than 2-3 weeks..so if thats the case then its not so bad...does seem like all our guards are nicked up a lil bit at the moment tho. seeing as the season hasnt actually started yet..

He'll probably only be out for 2-3 weeks because he'll come back with a cast over it. It'll make him less effective, but as a backup, he shouldn't have to play all that much before he can get back to full effectiveness. Again, good that he's only out for a little while rather than being out the whole year!

Yep, I'll take 2-3 weeks for Greco. Besides, a cast makes it harder for him to hold.
