Gredkowski

I just watched the game in full, and this guy is good. I realize he missed a snap, but I am impressed.

Your thoughts?

PS. Jackson is biting his own nose off. He will get tagged, continue to lose money, and he won't be playing football if he continues his hold out.

I was such a big fan of his, but the more he holds out, the more I lose respect for him.

If he is not in camp this week, I hope the Rams hold him for two years, and letting him eat Mac and cheese with his sister, and agent.

This is just my random thoughts on the situation.

Re: Gredkowski

Bruce Gradkowski was put on waivers by Tampa Bay, because they realized that his accuracy was below average, he may have looked ok against 3rd stringers, but I wont be too thrilled if he makes this team. Brock berlin is the better QB

Javaman - is moving towards the light
Re: Gredkowski

Gradkowski can run better than Berlin. With this offensive line playing pass protection the way it is, the team may be better off with a running QB.

Steve Young was a Tampa Bay "reject", Brett Favre flunked in Atlanta,Kurt Warner couldnt cut it in Green bay,Bulger in New Orleans...

i wouldnt worry on what other teams have done with players..may the best man for the Rams win, whoever that may be!

When exactly did you see Berlin play against a 1st string defense to make that assessment? Or do you just think Berlin has outplayed Gradkowski against backups?

Re: Gredkowski

Didn't Gradkowski start for Tampa Bay for awhile? Maybe that experience will be the little edge he needs.

Re: Gredkowski

If Brock Berline were 6'4", I would be preaching that his spot was very secure. However, Berlin is very undersized, and he is always going to have problems seeing over the way, which will hinder his ability to make quick decisions, and will result in some batted balls. He has good mobility, maybe not as good as Gradkowski, but I do think Berlin is more accurate, on top of seemingly having a solid grasp on this offense already. With that being said, he must be intelligent, or he would really be struggling ...

I would be stunned if Gradkowski uproots Berlin from the third spot. I think Berlin has potential, I am just concerned if he can overcome his physical issues. He definitely seems to progressing in terms of some of the throws he is capable of making, and he seemingly has command at the line ...

Really, I am rooting for this game. I was ready to bury him and annoint Gradkowski the third string spot the minute we signed him. However, Berlin's performance in the preseason and his attitude, which comes through in the thing's he says during interviews, along with was appears to be a solid image of him in the eye's of his teammates, leads me to believe that he is the man ...

In all actuality, if Bulger were to go down, particularly if it were long term, I'd much rather see Berlin in there to see what he could do rather than Green. I think Green is only a short-term solution at this point, and should never be playing more than a game or two, unless we are in position to jockey for a playoff spot. I hate to see third string QB's sitting on the bench wasting away when there is opportunity to be had. Let's hope Bulger never misses a snap, but I am curious what Berlin and Gradkowski can really do ....

BTW, Gruden loves accurate QB's, especially in that system. No surprise he cut Gradkowski, whose accuracy is suspect ...
