A growing epidemic, and a cure.

There seems to be a growing trend of threads being derailed by negative comments about Sam Bradford, which have the effect of shifting the discussion to Sam's merits, rather than the original subject.

    This needs to stop.

If anyone wants to discuss Sam, they should do so either in an existing thread about him, or start a new one (though repeat subjects should be avoided).

Those who derail threads about other aspects of the team with comments about Sam will receive a "penalty card" shown below. That will be my friendly reminder to stay on subject. I ask that if you see that card, you confine all subsequent comments on the thread to the original topic, rather than making it another Sam debate.

    Thanks!

    AV - nice sig.

Yes - almost as much as George W

In all fairness AV you did ask in your "How I feel" thread if anyone wanted to argue if Bradford would have made the difference in Monday's outcome. I too am a little frustrated about all of the Bradford talk when there is so much other good things going on. After the Whiner game I was ready to give up on the Rams. I live near Whinerville and I'm tired of getting the phone call after another blowout loss from some no-class Whiner fan.(I never made those calls in 1999). Monday's game gave me something to cheer for. I don't care who the QB is. I thought that I wanted only more wins but all I really want to see is competitive football(with some wins of course). I loved Monday's game. Let's see more competitive football!! Sorry about the thread derailment (hope I don't get smashed by the "train" but I missed out on your other thread before it was closed.

Yes, I did. But that's a pretty specific question. If someone had responded "I think the outcome would have been the same with Sam at QB," that would have been on point.

Responding with a long post claiming that he really didn't play that well this year, that he's a near-bust, and comparing him to RGIII, on the other hand, is unnecessary derailment.

It is a fine line, which is why I've created the warning card (which carries no negative rep, infraction, or threat to any member's status with ClanRam) as a friendly reminder.

You're gonna have problems from people who love trains. I know somone that loves trains so much, he would put a conference call on hold to go to the window and watch a train (usually slow moving coal cars) go by. He would derail a threed just to get the picture included.

Just jerking your chain, av. I'm on board. Not meaning I'm on board a train, since I don't care for them myself.
    Prepare to be amazed.

Av, just make sure that it doesn't turn out to be a train wreck.A growing epidemic, and a cure.-old_time_train_wreck.jpg
