Gutted . . . But much improved.
Shockingly predictable . . .
But that is because we are used to it. Tons of positives though. We were never going to be 16 - 0 were we?!?!?
We don't have the right to win those types of games yet, especially against powerful teams like Detroit. Massive props to the players for the better effort than this time last year. The team are a bunch of kids remember.
Go Rams...!!!Last edited by UK Ramfan 83; -09-09-2012 at 04:23 PM.

Improved on defense, sort of. Offense is the same. 1 lousy TD.

Re: Gutted . . . But much improved.
What a great game. Yeah, the Rams lost but that's going to happen a few more times this year. They came in as the youngest team in the league in an AWAY game for the first game of the year in a new system with more rookie starters than anyone else. They played one of the top teams in the league and were winning with 30 seconds left. No one expected the Rams to win that game and they came really darn close. This team isn't a finished product, but that was a great showing from a very young, inexperienced team.

Re: Gutted . . . But much improved.
Gibson showed up when called upon, as did most of the WR's. At least they caught the balls this time! Would have like to have seen more of Pead and Richardson.

Re: Gutted . . . But much improved.
This game showed that the team is coming around. The OL played with some adversity (two starters out, and ticky tack holding that the other team was getting away with). They also played a pretty good DL. The D was a little shakey, but the DBs don't have brick hands like they did last year.
It was disheartning, but I ididn't expect a win until we were leading in the final 2 minutes. Too bad the prevent (a win) D was employed.
It really seemed like the team folded a bit when Saffold went down. They were doing good to that piont.

I saw improvements on both sides. Can't expect miracles. Good game and a tough loss for the Rams...

Re: Gutted . . . But much improved.
They only improvements that matter are in the Win/Loss column. Sorry, that's just the ways I sees it.

This team lost today but they just got better IMO.
Last time it was: Detroit crushes St. Louis, 44-6. They are much better and so are we now... on to the home opener!

Re: Gutted . . . But much improved.
Detroit were a playoff team last year, Stafford threw for over 5000 yards and Johnson is posisbly the best WR in the game. Their DL is the best DL in football.
And yet the Rams went to their field, and made them have to score a last minute TD to beat us? That's a good showing from the Rams if you ask me.
You don't have to remember too far back to when we last played Detroit and they embarassed us. We certainly shouldn't be embarrassed by that performance

Re: Gutted . . . But much improved.
prevent should be illegal unless it's the last play...or if it wasn't quite prevent...stop playing soft
happy with adjustments, improving as the game went on...but i think richardson should get more carries for a better change of pace
if they keep improving, obviously, they'll do alright, just...stop soft defense, never works

AAAARGH!!! And I thought the Lions would only tie it at 20 at the end of the 4th!
Good grief -- we had 3 INTs! . This one hurt but there is improvement and promise already.
