I'd rather feel annoyed because my team lost a close game, than the feeling you get when watching your team lose blowout after blowout.

Granted, a win would feel better. But isn't it a good sign for the Rams as a whole that the fans and organisation are upset at losing to a playoff team in the last minute?

If you want to why we lost it's simple really... SJ 21 carries for 53 yards and a whopping 2.5 yards per carry.

Vanden Bosch, Avril, Corey Williams and of course Suh. That's the Detroit DL, and it's probably the best in the NFL, especially since they rotate in Fairley at tackle too. For a young team with a shakey OL, to have to go up against them was a big, big challenge.

That was hardly Jackson's fault... He was running hard.

Not saying it's his fault... when the O line gets handle both SJ and Sam will struggle... period.

I'm glad to see fundamentally sound football, no significant TOs against us, and the scoreboard pretty close. Hopefully Saffold's alright, continuity on the field is crucial to establishing Oline chemistry and providing good pass protection for Bradford. He had a few ups and downs but all-in-all, he did an solid job keeping the ball away from the Detroit D. However, we definitely need improvement on those dollar/dime packages.

The Redskins look scary good with RGIII having 362 yards both rushing and passing so we'll need to play fundamentally sound tackling if we want to contain him.

Suh made one play where he being blocked and reached out and gabbed SJ with one hand and brought him down. That is scary. Just glad he did not body slam Sam.

That explains it all -- at least in terms of yards and points! I did not see the game but followed it on NFLN and was exasperated to see the lack of production by the Rams offense. No wonder.

Jackson isn't going to cut anymore on the screen plays. I'd have liked to see more of Richardson sprinkled into the gameplan. Pead I would'nt trust just yet. But Im looking forward to seeing the back of Jackson to be honest. He is such a big target and doesn't scare anyone anymore. The Rams will be a better offense once these rookies get some experience.

All I'm saying is I'll be satisfied once we actually win!

Has anyone else ever lost a close game and felt just as bad if not worse than you did when you were blown out, knowing that you were just *this close* to victory as opposed to not standing a chance in the first place?

Who do you think feels worse about the 1999 season, the Titans or the Browns?

Again, more clearly: There was improvement. But I'll be happy about the improvement once it leads to a 'win'.
There's the Win column. There's the Loss column. And then there's the Moral Victory column. Isn't there?

Even if it was a win, there would be some people round here who would find some reason to complain
