Just read this.........

These players are the top of the Rams FA list. There not gonna get all of them and Hadley said Abraham is one player they would overpay for....

My thoughts:

Hadley wrote all the names of the available FAs on little pieces of paper. He then taped the papers to a dart board and threw darts at them blindfolded. The ones that were hit are his "inside information picks for the Rams."

Then he sat down for an afternoon snack of 13 lbs. of linguine.

Plus, I heard some buzz about him sitting out of the Steelers game because of pending free agency, not so much because of his injury - meaning, he didn't want to risk reinjuring himself because his price would drop as a free agent. If that's the case, that's not exactly the kind of guy I'd want on the team.

It's interesting how Hadley reports that Abraham is the kind of guy we'd overpay for, yet we didn't put the money where our mouth was when it came to retaining Wistrom. While I'm not trying to make a comment about their respective talent levels or any kind of comparison, I'm not sure I'm willing to believe this franchise is willing to overpay for a defensive end when they let one walk last spring because they wouldn't put up the dough.

What do you think about Jeremiah Trotter? As I know, he got just one-year deal with Eagles and he did a great job after he retook MLB spot in the middle of the season. At least he would be much cheaper than Hartwell and we may spent the rest of money elswhere, if cap allows us to spent any.

I'd feel better with Hartwell than I would Trotter, at this point. If we can't nab Hartwell, then I wouldn't mind throwing a moderate to low contract offer at Trotter, though I question what he can do in coverage.

And I agree tanus, I'd rather overpay for Hartwell than I would for Abraham.

I think our best bet is to make a play for Trotter... Phili has needs at WR were we are overstocked... sure there is something we can do for the right price.
