Hanifan on Incognito
On 550 KTRS last night (bad show btw spent more time talking about Doug Flutie being in the HOF than the players at Rams minicamp) They had Jim Hanifan on the show and asked him some of his impressions of Richie Incognito.
Hanifan said
- Richie's agent called Hanifan and asked him to work him out before all the draft scouts did before the 05 draft.
- Hanifan said Richie learned faster than almost anyone he had ever seen. Most of the drills he put RI through Richie had never even seen before. But within a matter of a few reps he had them down and was doing them better than most.
- JH said Richie didn't do much pass blocking in college but he excelled at the pass blocking drills that he taught him in a matter of moments. Said he is smart, strong, and has excellent technique.
- JH said after looking at him in mini camp over the weekend that RI has only improved and that it will be difficult for the Rams to keep him off the field.
- John Hadley (different JH) chimed in to brag that he predicted last year that Richie Incognito would be one of the best offensive linemen in the league.
- John Hadley asked Jim Hanifan how Claude Wroten looked and Jim H said Wroten was also extremely impressive in camp. John Hadley went on to predict that Wroten will be one of the best Ram's defensive linemen to put on a uniform.

A couple diamonds in the rough. That is very encouraging news!
"...and a great new warrior emerged from the many, to carry the torch, and his name was Rammin' Jackson...and a new era had begun! Bring on the battles to come, he screamed!"

Hadley also predicted that the sun will, in fact, rise in the eastern horizon, traverse across the sky, and set in the western skies later in the day. Remember that Hadley told us all of this BEFORE it happens.

Re: Hanifan on Incognito
Is Hanifan still a part of the Rams Organization?
I thought he was gone?

You owe my company one Dell monitor. That was hilarious as I witness my Diet Coke streaming down the screen.

Thanks for the report, Mercclass - much appreciated. All good news so far on my boy Incognito, and it's even more encouraging knowing Hanifan was impressed with him.
You're right, he doesn't coach anymore but I think he has a radio gig and was probably at mini camp with a front row seat.Is Hanifan still a part of the Rams Organization?

Re: Hanifan on Incognito
Sorry 'bout that, tx. Hmmm.. I wonder if Hadley could have predicted this also. From what I've seen today it appears that he is going to get this sun prediction correct.

I take whatever John Hadley says with a grain of salt. He seems to throw out a bunch of opinions so he can brag that he predicted correctly the ones that manage to stick to the wall.
Hanifan from what I understand is going to replace Jack Snow for the Radio broadcast for the season.

- Jim Hanifan said that Linehan will have his son hold the cord for his headset on the sideline this year. John Hadley predicts that Linehan's son will be the best cord handler ever in the NFL.
