    Hard Knocks

there was a wagoner article how although unlikely the rams could be forced to do hard knocks, much to fishers dismay...would you want the rams do hard knocks, so you can get a nice inside look , or would you prefer they don't to avoid distraction?

This has been brought up before.

I'll say yes, and it's a selfish yes, because I'd love to get an inside look. I don't see it as a distraction either. If anything, it's more tape for coaches to review, so you'd think players would be mindful of that.

    Re: Hard Knocks

As much as I love watching Hard Knocks every year, I'd like to wait a few years for the Rams to do it. This is a young team and they're going to be bringing in a lot more rookies this year too. Now isn't the time for these guys to have cameras everywhere. We need a lot of players to make the jump this year and next.

Now, with that being said, HK is becoming pretty frequent, and I haven't heard anyone say that they felt it negatively effected their season, so coaches like Fisher and fans like myself might just be apprehensive without good reason.

Considering the drama in the NFC West...the 49whinners would be a more entertaining "Hard Knocks" to watch.

Never watched the show myself... But I'd rather they didn't have the spotlight on them. It's gotta be distracting for sure, and with all the youth on the team, probably not a good thing.

If I was making the call, I'd say take the cameras elsewhere....

St Louis is one of the eight teams that can be selected to do Hard Knocks even if they don't want to by the league office - but it seems unlikely they will, as HBO probably would like a larger market or more popular team. The Steelers are another one - and HBO would certainly prefer them.

Emphatic NO! I cannot see for one second how it would not be distracting for any team, let alone a young one like ours. Keep the focus on football and winning!

Hard Knocks is a very informative show...I watched the Hard Knocks/Dallas season and it told me why the Cowboys prove wrong the old adage, "Eventually a blind squirrel can find a nut"

I think it would be awesome if our RAMS were selected for the show.

That's an easy fix. Just beat the crap out of them, keep them out of the playoffs, and take that spot yourselves.

That doesn't help you this year though, but it sounds like other teams actually want HK -- so if Fisher&Co don't want the circus in town, it will probably end up elsewhere.

    Re: Hard Knocks

I haven't read any reports of previous teams finding the camera crew to hinder their training camp process, other then that is what Fisher thinks would happen. On a selfish side it would be interesting to see the mindset of the players and rookies and give a insight on possibly why they are succeeding and/or struggling.

Be neat to see how Fish coaches and see Paul Boudreau in action especially with the big chance of us taking one of the 3 top OTs.

    Re: Hard Knocks

I read on Twitter yesterday (so it has to be true) that the Brears, Steelers, and Giants are the final 3 contenders. This makes sense to me because all 3 of them have a large fanbase, so it would likely get better ratings.

    Re: Hard Knocks

Out of those choices I would like to see the Steelers. Not because of an affinity for any particular team, but more of a choice of an inside look what would be the most fascinating. Think the setting, town, coaching staff, and players would be an interesting watch. Plus the Brears are just a weird team ;-)
