    Has anyone noticed...

The Rams have 14 rookies, and 30 players with 3 years or less experience.

    And I think that's a good thing.

    Rams 26, Cardinals 17

    Re: Has anyone noticed...

We had 1 good game against the Cardinals last year and 1 bad one. We just had trouble moving the ball against them and couldn't contain anything. I think that all changes this year. With the perfect mix of running and passing we will be able to overcome the Cardinals.

I know Sam will be super excited and will do everything in his power to avoid any rookie mistakes. I say he goes 220+ yards and 2 td's while throwing no int's.

I also believe Steven will do what he always does, which is run all over your defense. I'd give him a 130+ yards and 1 td. The Cardinals still have a good defense but I feel like SJ39 is coming into this game feeling he has to prove something (back injury) and will do exactly that.

Obviously we will have some stalled drives which end in 2 FG's.

All in all I think our team has a great day and is much improved.

I also love the amount of young and hopefully emerging players on our team. They all have a lot of potential and can do some damage if they play well.

    Re: Has anyone noticed...

    Yes, I had noticed.

That's why I posted the following some eight hours ago in Maui's < A few thoughts on our rosters' chances of success in 2010 > thread:

Right now we have 14 rookies in the Rams' roster: 25%. Wow. Not necessarily 'woe' although...
Also, there are currently 9 2nd-year Rams players: 17%.

Which is why we can be sure there will be one / two key player changes coming up soon. I'm excited to know what's being currently discussed among coach Spags and administrative company. And what will be decided...

ARE WE READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!?! GO RAMS!
Once again, it will be very interesting to see how the pros and cons play out from having such a percentage of younger Rams. But in the meantime it should be probable --if not obvious-- that we need the one or two more experienced manpower / assets to change the roster value in that aspect.

I just wouldn't predict a regular season score based on this factor alone. Granted that one of those 14 rookies is an almost "sensation-in-the-making-but-under-the-scope / $50 mega-investment-QB".

As others have pointed out elsewhere, our OL still seems to be in the shop for final assembly and inspection.

Are the Rams behind on all this roster definition? No, just a sign of the growing pains we had anticipated many months ago.

    Sunday Waiver Deadline?

Also we don't lose our waiver priority on Sunday, that happens a couple of weeks into the season.

Has anyone noticed that all three of our quarterbacks (yes, I said ours) were not on the team last year?
