I don't wish ill will on Jim Haslett by any means, but I don't know how anyone can lament his departure with a straight face. The man had below average defenses in his three years as D-coordinator and presided over a sh** show for the last 12 games of the regular season in which the Rams lost 10 in a row, were down 40-0 against the Jets at halftime (I was in attendance- a nightmare I'll have forever) and couldn't find a way to win just once. Billy DeVaney did absolutely the right thing; give him the courtesy of an interview and respectfully sever ties with someone who wasn't entirely to blame for the losing but was a big part of a losing culture in St. Louis.
Needless to say, we have many needs. Prioritizing them in order is subject to debate, but we ABSOLUTELY must draft a Quarterback in the early rounds. Marc Bulger may indeed be salvagable, but he's shown me very little in two years- and I don't want to hear the same B.S. about the O-line. He stunk plenty of times when the O-line did its collective job. Maybe some competition will be healthy for him in getting his head out of his rear end.
I would like Rex Ryan as coach, but I am not hopeful he will get the job. All things point to Leslie Frazier as being the next Rams head coach, in my opinion.
My first thought was why cut the whole staff ? Again , Henry Ellard has to be one of , if not the best receivers coach in the NFL. So why get rid of him, let the new coach decide . Also , he is a Ram icon , and that has to help with the fans feeling a little more secure that there whole world is taken away and no more past Rams are associated with them. Keep Henry ! Also , I havn't seen anything yet besides the Haslett situation.
Bad decision guess I was wrong
WHAT A BIRTHDAY GIFT!!!!
First, my desert dogs win.
I get an awesome gift from my parents
NOW THIS?!?!?
Haslett was a great guy and I hope he does well wherever he heads off to next. I think it's fair that he got the chance to be our HC, but honestly losing 10 straight games (and in the manner that we did against SF and NYJ) is unacceptable IMO and he had to go.
My list is now:
1. Spagnuolo
2. Frazier
3. Ryan
I'd be thrilled with any one to be honest. Garrett can be our toilet cleaner.
Sorry to see haslett go...I wish him well

I've no ill will towards Haz, good luck to him, but I am pleased that Chip is happy to let Devaney make sweeping changes to turn things around, it shows at least that he does give a hoot.
