Have The Rams Become The Worst Organization In Sports?

Have the Ram's become the worst organization in pro sports?

    • The worst front office I've ever seen.
    • Threats surfacing to move team..
    • The worst coaching staff in the league..
    • The worst team in the NFL; getting outscored and pwned weekly.

In 3 years time they've destroyed this team. The level of Incompetence and complete failure is quite amazing. Matt Milan is better than Zyggy.

Nah, Oakland's still worse. The situation they have over there is beyond pitiful.

Re: Have The Rams Become The Worst Organization In Sports?

The fact that this question is even arguable show's how bad we are. We are "arguably" the worst organization in all of sports.

We had success for 4 years from '99-'03....other than that we are a joke. For 10 years prior, and apparently 10 years after.

I definitely think we are the worst team in the NFL.

Bad contracts with no-talent players for the next 3-4 years.

    Thanks Rams. Fun Stuff.

NO, they have not become the worst, rather, they already were the worst.

Basically the seeds for this were planted 29 years ago.

The short periods of success in the past 29 years were in spite of this dysfunctional organization and not because of it.

But all can finally change if Chip and Lucinda do the right thing and sell the team to an owner that is committed to winning.

Carrol Rosenbloom and Don Klosterman saved the Rams bacon when they came on the scene. Unfortunately, Carrol drowned shortly thereafter and Georgia got rid of Don and brought in the current regime of Shaw and then Zygmunt. It has been a steady decline since with only an occasional success hiccup.

Unless Chip is ready to step up and make some moves, we would be better off with a new owner dedicated to bringing a good product to the Rams fans around the world.

    Chris58-

I agree 100%. Carroll Rosenbloom was a good owner committed to winning. For his son to bring pride back to this football team, he must show the same resolve and drive to win. Right now, this team is a rudderless ship, and it starts from ownership to the front offices to the coaching staff to the players. A fish stinks from the head up.

Oakland, Detroit, and the New York Knicks are the other franchises that rival the Rams for the dubious title of "most dysfunctional franchise".

I couldn't have said it better myself. In 30 plus years of watching this team, this years version is the worst I've seen in a very long time. Even the squads from the mid 90's at least had a shot of winning; this current roster is deflated and lost. There is some bad mojo in Rams park, it's time for Chip to call in a specialist.

Just give us someone who loves the Rams and I'll show you a Pittsburgh Steelers type organization. An organization committed to winning and excellence.

Yep, when you're talking Shawgmunt, it doesn't get any worse, or dysfunctional.

Re: Have The Rams Become The Worst Organization In Sports?

While the Rams may have several issues,

I would like to point out two teams that have/had more issues than the Rams...one, the team formerly known as the Seattle Supersonics. For 5 years before they moved, they couldn't get any high good FA's to even come into the building to discuss a contract. So they ended up with players like Robert Swift, Johan Petro, and Sene. Then Howard Schultz sold the team to an out of town owner, who moved the team to OKC...now, the sad fact is, they are going to get better thanks to shrewd moves by Sam Presti...so, well...that sucks. Oh, and the owner didn't just threaten to move them, he actually did...

And then for team number two, I'm going with the Seattle Mariners. They are run by a bunch of people who know very little about baseball. They fired their manager mid-season, hired a retread in the interim. Their farm system is so depleted that they can't even make a trade for a had been major leaguer to stop the bleeding. Oh, and they have the worst record in baseball. Now, the owner isn't threatening to move them...but he isn't making them better.

To be fair, not all evil robots are killers.
