    Have you noticed?

Seems like there are franchise QBs who have experienced a sharp decline in production due to the loss of key receivers (Flacco, Brady, Luck, Ryan).

Seems like there are other franchise QBs who have declined due to OL issues and trouble running the ball (Roethlisberger, E.Manning).

And it even seems like running ability is no longer a ticket to immediate franchise QB status (RGIII, Kaepernick).

    It almost seems like...

Like maybe some of those Sam Bradford "excuses" were actually valid.

    Re: Have you noticed?

Under my speculation type of magnifying lens, there's no doubt in my mind that this was the year when our boy Bradford was going to affirm his place in the NFL as a top 10 QB. His numbers were well on the way and one could almost 'feel' it.

Get well Sammy, step by step.

They're still excuses, it's Sam's fault that the secondary was playing like horsecrap when he was starting, it's his fault his receivers didn't step up and occasionally dropped catchable passes, and most importantly, it's his fault he doesn't have the "it" factor.

And there's undoubtedly an impulsive, irrational minority in each one of these fan bases that's calling for a change at QB.

Maybe not quite as passionate as the minority in the Rams fan base, but I'm sure they're just as loud and annoying.

Have you read fan comments under RGIII stories lately? He's really wearing his welcome out in D.C.

    Hmmm......
Many of them are valid, but then again, only one of those QBs you mentioned was the first pick in the draft, and he took a 2-14 team to the playoffs in his rookie season and is on pace to do it again. Bradford on the other hand, has only been close once, and that was because at that time, you could win the NFC West with an 8-8 record.

Please AV, let's not start this again.

IMO, Sam Bradford has severely underachieved to this point in his career, and there's simply no way to sugarcoat it.

    Hmmm......
Disregard my last response, this is the revised and more correct response.

Many of them are valid, but then again, only 2 of those QBs you mentioned was the first pick in the draft, and one has taken a 2-14 team to the playoffs in his rookie season and is on pace to do it again and the other has won 2 Superbowls.

Bradford on the other hand, has only been close to a playoff berth once, and that was because at that time, you could win the NFC West with an 8-8 record.

IMO, Sam Bradford has severely underachieved to this point in his career or he just isn't who we thought he was.

But like I've said, he probably played the best 3 games he's played as a Ram prior to his injury and that bought him a little more time IMO. Let's see if he capitalizes on it, or will we continue to make excuses for him by this time next year. From my standpoint, hopefully the Rams will have drafted a QB with long term upside at that point, and it won't feel like the sky is falling if Bradford makes no real progress.

The only thing that Colts team had in common with the Rams is that they were both 2-14. I really wish people would stop throwing that out there like Andrew Luck resurrected a floundering team.

    Re: Have you noticed?

Why do we keep bashing Bradford? He is not even playing and may never play again. Right now our QB is Kellen. You know, the guy that did this-Clemens completed 9 of 16 passes for 247 yards and two scores in Sunday's 38-8 rout of the Colts.

I think its time to put Bradford is this or that comments to rest until we know he is going to recover. Ask yourself this, Is Bradford playing next week? If the answer is no, then focus on who is. Just MHO and nothing more.

Ok, but where would they be without Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning? My guess is 2-14.
