TAMPA - There's just one thing that would make Monte Kiffin think about breaking his bond with the Bucs and the Bay area. Unfortunately for both, the St. Louis Rams have offered Kiffin that potential bond breaker.

Kiffin, the Bucs' defensive coordinator, said Thursday he is contemplating leaving the Bucs for a head coaching job with the Rams, whose president discussed the matter with Kiffin during a conversation Wednesday night.

So who knows maybe he will leave and maybe he is the mystery candidate. Or maybe I am the mystery candidate LOL

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but since Notre Dame is not a NFL team, they don't have to abide by the NFL's tampering rules.

Well, "officially", the Browns hired Crennel on Feb. 8th, 2005. The Super Bowl was two days earlier on Feb. 6th. However, you can't help but wonder just how much communication there was between Crennel and the Browns. I'll just bet that FOs have developed all kind of skirting tactics to hug the legal line on tampering.

Re: Head Coach Candidate Coach Head Coach Canidate Head...Bwahahahaha!!!!

I for one am glad the FO is taking the time to interview several candidates and covering all the bases. IMO teams like GB, and Minn who just jump out and grabbed a new coach are more than likely going to suffer for not taking the time to find the right fit. Would you rather the RAM just hire Joe Shmoe after one interview or that the interview several legitimate candidates to see who would best fit this organization.

Come on....I thought THE prevailing conspiracy theory here was that the EVIL front office NEVER wants this team to win due to how that causes them to lose money. Isnt that the big reason why they fired the worlds greatest coach? Now they appear to be taking their time to find the right fit and best candidate. O well, thats the trouble with those darn conspiracy theories...logic and common sense always get in the way.

Actually, you are the only one making this conspiracy argument. Nice strawman though.
