I was just wondering how many fans have read the book Headslap. Its a great read about Deacon Jones. If your into some of the history of the Rams read it i recommend it.
Also if any fans out there could recommend any other good books on the Rams or their players that would be great.
I'll have to read that, I need to learn a bit about Deacon, and other rams players, but I've never seen the book before.

BigBlue, here's a link to an excerpt of 'Fifth Quarter', a book penned by Jennifer Allen, Coach Allen's daughter.
I really enjoyed reading this part of the book.
BTW, a note on a slight 'erratum': regarding the fantastic finish of the next-to-last game of the 1967 season Vs. Packers (a must win situation to make the playoffs), the Rams were behind four points, not three. They needed a TD, a FG would not do.
That's why it was so exciting to see them block Donny Anderson's punt and then have a Gabriel to Casey score with seconds left. That was a HUGE win. Rams also won the last game -- at the Coliseum as well -- by beating the great Baltimore Colts who were in the playoff hunt neck to neck with the Rams, in the same division! Another must win game for both teams. We got it big time, 34-10.
Coach Allen really did turn around the team during his tenure, 1966-70.
Thanks, GC, RealRam i'll check them out
