Re: Hedgecock to Start

What has shown us that Hedgecock is as dominant as some of you seem to think? It's all been preseason hype.

Let's hope he does something to deserve the praise.

Re: Hedgecock to Start

One has to wonder if having Hedgecock as our starting fullback instead of Manumaleuna played a bigger role than we'd initially think.

Off the top of my head, the only great individual block I remember one of our runners getting was Timmerman pulling to the left on fourth down to help Jackson get a good gain.

Re: Hedgecock to Start

It seemed like a lot of our stuffed runs were coming from the middle of our OL. It seemed like a jailbreak. I don’t recall them running much off the RT. Barron did great in pass coverage he was not letting his man get to Bulger. I would like to review the tape of him run blocking and see if he was getting the push on his guy. Pass coverage he uses those long arms to help stop the pass rush. Run support is more about bulldozing a path. You might be right about Hedgecock I am not sure without reviewing the tapes. It would be nice if someone could put together a tape of just the run plays so we can critique.
