A DEFENSIVE LEADER

I'm not concern about the preseason record or inconsitent play...

However, I am concern about the coaching and lack of leadership and accountability on the defensive side of the ball.

The defensive unit has been playing very flat and they seem OK with giving up yards.. They seem to lack motivation and determination that I've noticed other teams have. In most cases these teams have very good leadership on the defensive side of the ball.

Solution:

J. Trotter will provide leadership and depth to this team......

you bring up a very good point,I think Pisa could be that guy but he needs to stay healthy and on the field,I would like Little to be that guy,he's one of the best at what he does and I think the defense respects him and would listen and rally around him,but he doesn't seem to want to take the reins,I don't see it in Witherspoon,although he hasn't been here that long,it would be hard for Carriker being a rookie but I could see it down the road,so maybe you have something there because the defense really needs a spark.

You know what, at first I was thinking this guy is too old but after looking at his ESPN.com player page, the guy is only 26! Yep, you make a good point that all he's gotta do is stay healthy. He didn't play in 6 games last season and only had 29 solo tackles at the linebacker position.

Other than Little I don't see any playmakers on the D. Who do we have that can make a critical stop or a sack, or pick off a pass when we need it. Ill take Trotter.

When the Eagles released him, I thought I read JT was 30 (31 in Jan.). He is 30.

I think he will be a good fit for the team just as long as he doesn't play in the Dallas game. I'm tired of hearing his name called while stuffing the run...

hey i actually meant pisa. yeah trotter would be a great addition to the linebackers. but who do you think he would replace? would he replace brandon chllar? we just signed james hall and witherspoon is solid.
