Henry Ellard, the baby and the bathwater
Any shot the rams will keep henry ellard around? I dont see how anyone could complain about our wide receivers over the last several years. I bet he gets put on the bumblebee program with the rest of the staff.

Re: Henry Ellard, the baby and the bathwater
I envision it going like this...
The powers that be (Samir, Zygmunt, Shaw, etc) sit down with the guy they pick for HC.. after he's accepted,
and they say. We've had a helluva a receiving corp here. We don't need to introduce Torry Holt, Bruce, or Curtis. We would like you to consider bringing Henry Ellard in as your receivers coach, but, of course, utlimately we'll leave that decision up to you.
We hired you as Head Coach and we trust your judgement.

Re: Henry Ellard, the baby and the bathwater
Ellard could be like the lion cub that is sired by the lion that just lost to the new King of the pride. He'll probably get gobbled up and fired along with the rest of the gang.

Re: Henry Ellard, the baby and the bathwater
Unless the new HC has the IQ of a petrified hemorrhoid, Ellard needs to stay. Can anyone else name a WR coach that is as good as Ellard?
Even if the new HC wants to let Ellard go, I doubt the Rams WR's just stand aside and wave goodbye.

...which is a good possibility. After all, our new HC will agree to have Shawgmunt and the Throat-slasher for bosses.
