    Here's what the REDSKINS do....

    Rankings:

    OFFENSE

    #4- T.O.P. (32:54 per game)
#5- Rushing (146.6 yards per game) 33.4 attempts per game avg.
#17- Passing (204.6 yards per game) 31 attempts per game avg.
    #1- +6 (Turnover ratio)
    ZERO turnovers by the Offense.

    DEFENSE
    13th- Overall
    9th- against the Run
    20th against the Pass

They have sacked the opposing QB only 6 times.

For whatever reason the Redskins opponents this season have tried to beat the Skins through the air. Their Opponents have thrown the ball 175 times vs. 103 rushing attempts. The Redskins rush defense is allowing an avg. of 4.1 yards per attempt.

Haslett has mentioned that he wants to get back to the "establish the run" to open up the passing game approach. Old style smash mouth football. That may be just what the doctor ordered when playing the Skins? Also the "law of averages" is that the Skins offense is going to turn the ball over at some point, hopefully it's this Sunday.

    GO RAMS!!!

A point to consider - En route to the 20th ranking, the Redskins were faced with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th ranked offenses in the league and held them all to their respective season lows.

Good luck and no injuries on Sunday!

yeah, ya beat me to it. The numbers don't look good for the Rams.

However, I'm hoping that the numbers DO lie this weekend. What I think must happen for the Rams to have any chance on Sunday.
    1. The Rams catch the Redskins in a letdown game. After beating some pretty darn good teams, they could be looking past the Rams (who wouldn't?)
    2. The removal of Linehan and the insertion of Haslett gets the team fired up and they play (finally) inspired football.
    3. The Rams have had two weeks to prepare for this game, they have absolutely NO excuse to come in unprepared. NONE.
    4. Typically, teams coming off a bye week have good return games because they're well rested and ready. Let's hope the Rams are.
    5. Saunders knows the Redskins personnel, perhaps a little help here to pass on to Venturi.
    6. Bulger is back and will have something to prove to everyone. Expect his play to be good.
    7. Haslett will run the ball more, and Jackson is due for a big game.
    Faithful Rams fan since 1968

Our (Skins) pass rush is pretty weak. If your O-line is halfway decent Bulger should have plenty of time.

You must not watch many Rams games. You're DLine will look like a pro bowl line.

Re: Here's what the REDSKINS do....

The Rams will need to rush the ball. Cornelius Griffin will be out which will hurt us. Believe it or not, Jason Taylor in will hurt us on the ground. I'd rather have Evans in more, especially with Griffin out.

The Redskins knowing Suanders offense is much worse than Saunders knowing the Redskins personel. Todd Collins will be on the sidelines a long with others in Zorn's ear in what he sees and expects.

Thats right, Todd Collins spent 10 years in Al Saunders system. His knowledge could be very helpful this week.

Shame on you! you must not watch the Rams either! the last 2 games the protection has been fair to good. Its the playcalling and the execution of the skill players that were'nt getting the job done. Ever since Holt called out the O-line they've done a decent job. And this Sunday our Line will be foaming at the mouth. You'll see!!!

Mind if I quote you, which I already have, after this weekend about the Rams O-Line foaming at the mouth?

The Skins are going to come out throwing, and if they can get up early, the Rams are going to see a whole lot of CP in the 2nd half.
