In hindsight, which "fan favorite" are you most glad the Rams DIDN'T draft?
Yes, I know...
Hindsight is 20/20...
That said, which "fan favorite" are you most glad the Rams passed in recent NFL drafts?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

For me, the answer is obviously Gholston. The others, while they haven't lived up to the hype, have at least been solid starters. Gholston simply failed in all respects in New York, though I'm interested to see if he can become something as a down lineman in Chicago.

Re: In hindsight, which "fan favorite" are you most glad the Rams DIDN'T draft?
I went with Glen Dorsey, for the simple reason that we would not have Chris Long which is one of my favorite players on the team and is only ascending.
I do strongly believe that when Dorsey does become a free agent the Rams should take a look at him. He was a beast in College and I strongly believe he is better suited to play in the 4-3. I think he is playing out of position right now, but as a penetrating under tackle I think he would do alot of damage.
Go Rams 2011

Without a doubt Rey Maualuga. I was so excited when he was there in the 2nd round. But we definately made the right choice drafting James Laurinaitis. He has been so much more productive then Rey.

I went with Gholston not only because he was a bust of epic proportions, but because the Rams picked Chris Long that draft. Jason Smith hasn't exactly lived up to "number 2 pick" expectations (or the $$), so the drop off wouldn't have been quite as harsh with the other choices.

Without a doubt, Rey Maualuga. He's been a non-factor as a player, but much more importantly, passing on him meant taking the heart and soul of the Rams defense and star in the making, James Laurinaitis.

I went with Dorsey and dishonorable mention to Curry. I still don't believe a DT or a 4/3 OLB is a foundation player for a team under major reconstruction like The Rams were when they were drafted.
Is Rey vs Lau even debatable at this point?
& Crabtree looks like he'll be forever plagued with his foot n' ego disease.

Man I loved Gholston coming out of college, but he is GARBAGE! Happy the Rams passed up on him. I'm glad that he's getting another chance with the Bears this year though, I want him to do well.
