He had four turnovers last night. Not exactly a memorable performance.

This is where a coach has to act like a coach and say "you're not playing". It's admirable to show toughness, and sometimes guys can even rise above the injury and play well (Youngblood), but too often the guy ends up compromising his team. Bradford should be shut down to save him from further punishment in meaningless games and Roethlisberger should sit to rest him for the playoffs.

Plus, let's be honest: Terry Bradshaw could probably QB the Steelers Sunday and beat the Rams.

That said, he did his team no real favors by playing last night.
Yeah he is, but so is Bradford. He went in there with three O linemen out and he knew he could not move very well, so he was going to get hit early and often. With nothing for the Rams to play for but pride Bradford wanted to still play, but not to many fans gave him much credit for stepping up and playing. One thing is for sure Bradford for is a warrior.

It certainly can indeed affect a QB's performance quite substantially. Especially in the pocket, an area I feel Bradford was struggling with before the initial injury. Big Ben on the other hand was effected, but his extra size and strength in the pocket, gives him an advantage over Bradford.
I think it would be very difficult for the majority of QB's, to play as good as Big Ben when injured.?

If you were hurt, you would constantly be thinking about your injury and protecting it. So that was probably the only thing on Bradfords mind while in the pocket. Its going to affect performance physically and mentally. Its only human nature to guard an injury. No matter how tough you are.
