Re: Holt "begging out" of the game
This saddens me if this is true. I really like holt a lot but my god if he is going to act like that is awful. Bench him and trade him for a good pick and or quality player.

Most people did qualify their posts with something like "if true". Regardless, it does sound like a rumor, especially coming from a Miami paper. I agree with Aussie Dave, if Holt did try to "beg" out of the game as reported by the Sun-Sentinal, Haslett would not have taken it very well and probably would have bypassed the bench and sent him straight to the locker room with a cry towel.

Re: Holt "begging out" of the game
It does start like a rumor though. Nothing has come up. Not in the post game interviews. I think its a rumor. I really think that someone from the team should come out and verify this to us.

So, If I posted that there was a report from the Dubai Herald website that Torry Holt was a Somali pirate during the offseason, would we all need to respond with "Well, if that is true..." posts?

Re: Holt "begging out" of the game
I think its a rumor. Torry Holt has MANY solid seasons with us.. I don't believe we should trade him for ONE mediocre season.

You heard that rumor too?!? Boy, if it's true, that would explain why Torry's head doesn't seem to be in the game.

Re: Holt "begging out" of the game
regardless if this report is true I think he wants to win one more time and I think he would want out at the end of the season. I could see him going to the Eagles or the Ravens, but most interesting may be back home playing with the Panthers.

Re: Holt "begging out" of the game
Why are we even discussing this? He's under contract for next year and I seriously doubt the Rams will cut him. So, unless there is a trade, he's a Ram next year.

Re: Holt "begging out" of the game
I HOPE this is not true, but if it is, we really need to trade him.
Perhaps trading him to one of the teams with a higher pick than us (Lions? We'd probably have to trade him and our 1st pick to move up) to make sure we can get either Andre Smith or Oher? I think it's time we go after that stud tackle, because Pace can't stay healthy and Barron has been way too inconsistant.
That would be if we want to go O-line. And there are still games left, were we could move down in the draft...or up...

Re: Holt "begging out" of the game
if this is indeed true, bench holt for the last four games of the season and trade in the offseason. you can tell he doesn't wanna play here anymore, so see ya Holt.

Re: Holt "begging out" of the game
It's RotoWorld, people. I've read alot of football and basketball online, and alot of their attention grabber headlines turn out to be rumors. This is not a creditable source at all.
