Holt only gets only 3% of the love from the players
Check out this crap. SI polled 361 players in the NFL on who was the best receiver in the NFL. This is a bunch of ....

Re: Holt only gets only 3% of the love from the players
I can't say I'm suprised. He couldn't even make Michael Irvin's top 5 Wide Receivers for Sunday. Also I heard a conversation a week or two ago on the best wide receivers in the NFL on Mike and Mike in the Morning and his name was never mentioned. Santana Moss was, even Lavernious Coles got brought up, but no Holt.

I'm used to it by now, and the way Holt talks I don't think it bothers him that much. He knows how good he is, and we know how good he is.

Re: Holt only gets only 3% of the love from the players
I'm sick and tired of Michael Irvin..... Top 5 playmakers last night and Holt isn't mentioned. Yet T.O. gets the number 2 and number 1 rating from Irvin. I'm sick of his homerism..........How do we get him off of ESPN ? Time for Tom Jackson to hit the road also.:x
Steve Young and Berman are the only guys that make any sense in my opinion.

Re: Holt only gets only 3% of the love from the players
He has never gotten much respect because he doesn't put himself in the spotlight and never causes team controversies. Take Harrison out of the top 5 and every guy there loves all the attention they can get.
Interesting note I didn't know: "Smith and Johnson were juco teammates at Santa Monica (Calif.) College before moving on to Utah and Oregon State, respectively." Could be why they always try to one up each other in the post TD celebration dept.

Re: Holt only gets only 3% of the love from the players
In my opinion, the reason Holt isn't a Top Reciever in peoples minds is there is no boat rowing, no mooning, no cheerleading, no sharpies, not choreography (spelling) in his Game, he goes out, plas the game with "Big Game" Fashion, and keeps his mouth shut, he respects the game, the players, the referees, the organization, and the NFL. He's a just Great PLAYER, not great HEMEROID, and is probrably the most classy player.

You got it, 16. Remember, Holt is in a class of his own. He is class. :r
Several of the other prima donna WRs just wouldn't be able to understand that. It's not in their nature to have such character, much less such class.

Re: Holt only gets only 3% of the love from the players
There are plenty of real football fans that know Holt is the real deal. I don't really care what SI or ESPN think.

Re: Holt only gets only 3% of the love from the players
I remember Holt saying he showboated once a long while back when he was young (prob high school, I forget) and his mom told him to never do that again, or she would whip his butt. :l
He also learned from the best in Henry Ellard and Isaac Bruce about class and how to play the game.BRUUUUUUUUCE
