How about this Bassey kid

The kid has 8 tackles and one assist in only three games. And all of them are on Special Teams. He had 3 alone against the Whiners. Not bad. I starting to like him a lot.

Re: How about this Bassey kid

Agreed..

I also noted his strong performance against N.O. so decided to keep an eye out for him again this week.

Dude, the guy was ALWAYS on screen and around the ball carrier, either tackling or shared tackling. He was also fighting like stink to rip the ball out from the San Fran semi-muffed punt/kickoff return. (can't remember which it was).

Saw him jawing it a couple of times as well with some whiners... (obviously it could have been friendly stuff, but this guy has the fire)

VERY impressed...:r

Re: How about this Bassey kid

I've been impressed with him, Todd Johnson, and Chris Draft on Special Teams. Usually, if they don't make the tackle, they're at least around it. God knows Special Teams is a place where we can use better play.
