How do the Rams fix this?

    Sam's injury is horrible news.

He finishes the year with a 90.9 passer rating, 14 TDs and 4 interceptions. He wasn't perfect, but he was progressing.

So what do the Rams do now?

    Kellen Clemens is no answer.

Will the Rams make a move? Perhaps, but who?

    Tim Tebow? No thanks.

    Vince Young? Ugh.

A trade? Maybe. Matt Cassel might be worth considering.

In the long(er) run, the Rams will arrive at next year's draft with uncertainty regarding Sam's status for 2014, and with two first round picks (both likely in the first 15 picks).

The Rams must take a QB, and its looking now like they'll have to consider doing so early.

I have to admit... I'm pretty bummed right now.

Of course, the last time a Ram starting QB blew out his knee, the darkness was replaced by a very bright dawn.

    Here's hoping.

Im not sure about a trade. Unless a world beater, unknown grocery bagger is available for nothing, I cant see how we give a draft pick for someone who wouldn't lead us into the playoffs anyhow.

Only guy I can think of is Matt Flynn? who so many were high on a few years ago.

I dont think there is a fix until The draft with a possibility of 4 to 5 QBs being worth a 1st round pick.

At least now maybe we can get a quarterback who can put points on the board.

I agree Bradford was making progress, but I have never seen a team move the ball up and down the field but be so inept and scoring points. And way too many dink passes.

I want a QB who can throw deep and put points on the board.

AV, you have the answer in your list.

This is the best thing that can happen for the Rams. B may be a middle good QB somewhere else, we need a better one for our young talent if we are going to be great. And we are going to be great.

No trades. Finish w Clemons and draft. Do it right.

    Be happy.

I'd start by figuring out where Austin Davis is & sell Snead's hair or whatever it takes to get him back. Listed as a Fin here & there but so far my tired eyes can't find him on either their regular roster or PS. Kid should've been kept, anyway. There are few roster decisions more fraught with dire consequences than going with two QBs.Whoever you want to consider as the guy who got Davis' spot, how could you consider them worth it now ?
I could get excited about Davis with the way this team has flashed.

I like the idea of getting Matt Cassel. After signing Freeman the Vikings have a lot of former starters on their roster, and is hopefully waiting for one of them to be taken of their hands (maybe for salary cap reasons). I wouldn't be angry with going after Ponder either, however him being younger probably makes him more expensive, while he is not really playing better than Cassel, or a good long time investment.

That would be interesting: Hekker on double duty. Play well, punt less.

Sue the NFL (I would say an amount equal to all the franchise fees they have paid since SBXXXVI) for allowing such attrocious officiating to pevent them from winning, and then lay down the law that any official that missed a call would be arrested and hauled to jail on the spot.

As officials are removed from the field, replace them with officials they have hired to protect the RAMS interest.

But as AV said, next year's draft will have to include a QB. But not in the 1st round. Maybe a McCarron or Mettenberger, Stephen Morris, Derrick Carr, Aaron Murray.......all or most of these guys should be available in the 2nd, even 3rd.
