How do you get your sports fix while waiting for news in Ram land?
What's your outlet?
Mine...? I still like the NBA (though the personalities of the players often turn my stomach). This is shaping up as a good year for my team, the Heat!

Re: How do you get your sports fix while waiting for news in Ram land?
not a great fan of the nba but i do keep tabs on the Grizzlies as they have a spanish player, Gazol...
there is so much to watch:
- cricket (love watching the aussies destroy everyone)
- champions league (go Real Madrid) and ofcourse the spanish liga in play..
- The F1 season kicks off in a little while
- MotoGP
don't follow the english premiership as the skill level just isn't there past the big three Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal (yes that includes liverpool) although i do keep tabs as there are a lot of spanish players raking it in at the moment in england.
If i'm honest, the NFL just doesn't stir me the way the champions league does.. i.e. the level of following, emotions, history and competiteveness just aren't there...

Outdoor sports !! Winter season fun has just begun, snowshoeing, peak bagging, 4th season camping, all leading to up wetting a line come April 1st.
It's only 0... it's not like it's minus 10 or something !!!!

Gotta love the Premiership (especially the way Chelsea is playing, even though it's without Jimmy Floyd).
NCAA Basketball (not a big pro fan till the playoffs).
NASCAR....NASCAR.....NASCAR......

Wow, a Wolves fan. Jason, talk about your walking soap opera team.
They could make a mini-series on the Timberwolves.
LOL

Mine is Madden 2005 on Xbox and reading what you guys have to say. Hate the NBA, like to watch the Razorbacks no one else, and MLB lost me when the All-Star game ended in a tie three years ago. Not alot of soccer in Arkansas to watch. I enjoy watching the World Cup qualifiers when my wife lets me turn the games on. (she's not a big sports fan but she is trying to learn football for me)

Just waiting for the redbirds to start swinging bats again. We got the Cards AA team in Springfield this year, so I'm going to try to get some tickets for them. Should be fun. Other than that, just waiting for the draft.

Hockey used to get me through until baseball season. Now I am at a loss since the NHL/NHLPA has greedily screwed itself out of existance. Not an NBA fan at all; do watch some of the the playoffs though. I may even watch some arena football once that starts to pass the time away. Desperate times require desparate measures; not sure when that season is anyway.

Sarge, I just noticed that you've gone from SSG to SFC. Is this recent or have I just been very unobservant? Either way, congratulations on the promotion, man. Way to go. Maybe we'll see MSGRamFan before long, huh?

I can always count on the NHL to...oh crap. Well, there's always Madden 2005 and NHL 2005 to hold me over until baseball season.

Re: How do you get your sports fix while waiting for news in Ram land?
well first post so here goes
Football (to me or soccer) season ticket holder at Manchester City for 30 years and go to most england matches home and away plus world cup and euro championship
Cricket - yes i love it but i only really watch teh one day matches for Engalnd and Lancashire my local lot , but i have got tickets for the ASHES againsy the aussies which will be a brilliant week
i am just getting into baseball , only because my freinds son who live in Philly is looking like he will be in the MLB ina few years , and i didnt understand the game till this year
as for Basketball and hockey used to see it on a uk level with teh Manchster Storm and teh Mnachester Giants but its sort of died a death and i dont stay up till a god forsaken hour to watch them only do that for teh Rams and most NFL matches
