How do you think Sam Bradford will do this year?

We all want Sam Bradford to succeed.

Most of us think he can.

None of us are sure if he will.

What I'm looking for here is your gut feeling.

How do you think 2014 will turn out for Sam?

Re: How do you think Sam Bradford will do this year?

I try and stay out of the Sam Bradford conversations since everyone seems to bash him. My friends and I have referred to him as "King Sam" since he was drafted. I think he will have a "breakthrough" year proving he is a top QB however, I see that completely resting on the shoulders of the the offensive line.

But, I fear that he will again get hurt and be released after the year. I think that he has all the tools to be good/great but one more injury or losing record and he needs to be gone. I hate to say that but I feel that he has had his chances and the Rams could be in need of a fresh start if things don't look good this year.

I see Bradford having big numbers between the 20's but redzone issues prevent a large number of TD passes. Also because of the NFC WEST that we play in I don't see us doing better than .500.

Believe me, I hope I'm wrong!

Something is telling me -- and even the Rams -- that that is what it will look like this year.

Synergy in St. Louis NFL. All the best to SB.

I picked option 2, although I think his numbers will be closer to option 1.

    i picked the first option

but i think it's somewhere in between the first two

maybe not 4k yards because of the offense run, maybe not pro bowl

but i think it will come together this year

No matter how many Bradford haters there are, you HAVE to admit, watching him against the Packers was just a total opposite from a guy like Kellen Clemens last year. It's actually crazy to see the skill differential between a good/great and decent/bad QB.

Sam is a special player. I think this is the year the rest of the NFL realizes that. Now that we have a solid running game, very good offensive line, pretty good weapons for Sam, and a very good defense. I am expecting 10 or 11 wins.

you do realize we went 7-9 last year, without Sam for 9 games and we were 1-5 against the NFC West?

Re: How do you think Sam Bradford will do this year?

Tough question AR. I am not a Sam hater, I think he could be a "good" QB in the league. Not talking Brady, Manning, Rogers, but good. I have gone into each season thinking "this is the year".

Unfortunately, I have been bitten too many times by the "this is the year it all comes together" ideology. If it is not an injury to Sam, it has been some other reason, this team just hasn't been able to get there yet. And I haven't seen anything in pre-season to make me think we are there now. I see positive signs, and they are usually followed up by brain dead mistakes.

I voted #3 and will optimistically hope I am wrong and we do better than that.

85+ rating but Sam isn't the only factor in the Rams winning 10 games. Even with KC last year if the defense, run gam or receivers are a little better we were a 10 win team.

Maybe there aren't as many as we think? Poll's been open 7 hours, and 21 of 22 voters have Sam playing either well enough for a potential playoff run or putting up big/career numbers. Let's see how this plays out.

Re: How do you think Sam Bradford will do this year?

Im seeing better hands and longer crisper routes from our recievers. Quick, Kendricks and Cook are some big targets and have shown improvement. We'll start to look down field more often and thats why i picked #2. Now Sam can start stretching the field and i think thats whats been keeping us as an offense at the bottum of our division. Then theres our defense. Preseason doesnt show much to me but once we get our 1's in there i think that unit can keep us in games against high scoring teams. Its all vanilla right now but it has to be...its preseason.

What is a "Bradford hater?" Take me for instance. some might construe that I am a unabashed Bradford basher. But I would offer, I call it how I see it. Last week, Bradford missed a wide open Britt and checked down another time just as Quick was getting open. I was very critical of this. But I was so happy to see him tear it up in the next series and said as much.

I will criticize the QB WR whomever.....if they fail to help the Rams win. I do not think there are true haters....Just folks that want to see Sam perform high level consistently (in the poll above, category 1 or 2). And Healthily.

I will go on record as saying my patience with Sam has worn thin. I would imagine I am not alone in this thinking. But far from hater for sure. And truly looking forward to seeing Sam lead the Rams to first winning record since last decade.

Re: How do you think Sam Bradford will do this year?

I say #2 - but I think we may have enough problems in the secondary that even with Bradford playing very well and a couple of recievers really showing their talent we still may get to less than 10 wins.

I'm on the fence - 9 or 10 wins, would be more in almost any other division.

That being said the Niners seem to have some cracks in their once vaunted D and seem to be more of an attacking offense based team now. And I don't have faith that Kaepernick consistently produces.

And the Seahwks are still very good, but they lost a lot of depth and I think some (though not nearly all) of the defensive chucking emphasis remains in the regular season, which hurts them more than other teams.

Finally the Cards have a lot of positives but losing Dockett and their interior lb starters really hurts.

I think all the teams in the division could be 9-7 to 11-5. I don't see anyone running away with it this year.
