How I spent Superbowl weekend with Sam Bradford and James Laurinaitis
Some things are just too cool to keep with ones self. After being stationed here in a secret compound for 4 months and never seeing a Rams game after Setember. I was deployed to a clasified location. I learned this week that MWR was having a flag football game with some of the best players from teams that did not make the playoffs. So I went and got signed up. I met with Sam Bradford and James Laurinaitis as they were captains of the NFL team. Got my picture taken with the players and off to the game I go.

That is just too cool! I'd give anything to have the same on deployment.

Re: How I spent Superbowl weekend with Sam Bradford and James Laurinaitis
I went to the game and it was a set number of players toplay, so I got to stand beside Sam Bradford and James Laurinaitis the whole game. The other team was captained by Senica Wallace Rocky McIntosh. After twenty minutes of pictures and autographs, Sam and I talked football for twenty minutes. Of course we talked about how we should have won the game on Monday night. He confirmed that "The Giants players said go down and three players hit the terf with two getting up. We had them George. We were tearing them up. They were on the ropes and tired. It cost us the game, but he had them." I asked him about the wide reciever position and Sam Bradford said, "I likeDanny Amendola and Brandon Loydd. I mean Danny gets off the ball so quick; it’sgreat to have them. I hope we keep them both for next year. Plus we have thenumber two draft pick so I hope we get someone there. The others are ok whenthey catch the ball." He agrees that Coach Fisher will improve the team,"Did you see what he does, he is great, I see us doing great things nextyear." I asked about the offensive coordinator position and he said,"It’s tough to learn a new offence every year." When I told him I wasat his first Ram win, he said, "The redskins game, yea, that’s myfavorite, though we should have won the game before, you know, the Raidersgame. We came close. But the Redskins was my first win. I'll always rememberit." Of course I asked about Steven Jackson and he likes Steve, said,"Steve is great, hard worker and runs hard." I asked about the lossof OJ Atogwe and he said, "Juice, yea he was great I liked him. I don'tthink he fit in with what Spags wanted though, so he was traded, but I likedhim. We must have like twenty people back there and we had a lot of injuries. That’s what hurt us this year, injuries."
I thanked him and James for hanging out with me and the boys, I said I really appreciated it. And I told him the last QB to come out and hang with me was Drew Brees and he went on to win the superbowl. James said, "Well I hope meeting you was a good omen." I said me to. I shook their hands. Sam said, "I hope I'm there next year, but this was fun."

Awesome, very cool. I bet it was funny watching Lauranaitis try to "tackle" somebody by going for their flag.

Thanks for posting this. While we are all Rams fans here and root for Sam & James, what you do is far more heroic. I bet Sam and James would agree. Thank you for your service and come home soon and safely. Hope you get to see today's Super Bowl, enjoy it if you do.
Go Rams!

1. God bless your service with a happy homecoming..thanks.
2. Was there any sign that Sam's high ankle sprain was still nagging him?
Ha "the others are ok when they catch the ball." Subtle Sam.
