Re: How many holes need to be filled next year

Yeah, I see. If the situation came up and no O-linemen or D player we liked were there in say round 3, I know there will be, but then maybe pick him up. But yeah, we have to many other needs.

Re: How many holes need to be filled next year

We need a real GM who wont be afraid to break the bank in order to create improvement. my dream offseason would include

1. Signing Jared Allen ( got to spend to get and he should enjoy staying in the same state)
2. Resign Chillar and OJ
3. Sign a cheaper tackle like Travelle Wharton from Carolina
4. Draft would be
1. Kenny Philips, S, Miami
2. Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh
3. Donnie Avery, WR, Houston
4. Colt Brenan, QB, Hawaii
5. Resign Streussie cheap vet depth

This gives us great depth on the o-line and two guys who could suceed pace in wharton and Otah (who could immediately start at LG) Jared Allen gives us a great pass rush that we have been lacking. Kenny Philips give us a dominant safety next to OJ. Donnie Avery is a deep threat who can help stretch the field. And Brenan is a developmental back up QB. This fills most of our wholes and would greatly improve the team

Do you guys really think Colt Brennan is only a 4th round pick? I looked on the Great Blue Report recently and that guy has him going about 20 or 21 in the first round. If he can make "all the throws" why would he drop that low?

WHAT SAY YE?

I also think Brennen will go higher than the 4th, but if he doesn't and he's there for us I wouldn't have a problem with that pick, PROVIDING we have taken care of business in the earlier rounds and free agency.

Youre right, his stock is rising and he may go higher but I still see him being ranked in the 2nd round in a lost of places. If he has a poor showing vs Georgia his stock may drop more. If he blows them up he may go in round 1.
