How NOT to beat the Seahawks

The Seahawks are shutting out the Packers in the first half of tonight's game and have 8 (yes 8!) first half sacks.

Last week, the Seahawks shut down the Cowboys' offense.

So... what can the Rams learn from this?

    Here's a stat for you:

    Packers: 2 runs, 23 passes
    Cowboys: 14 runs, 43 passes

Some things never change in the NFL.

YOU HAVE TO RUN THE BALL.

Even if the running game is only marginally successful, YOU HAVE TO RUN THE BALL.

Otherwise, the opposing defense is going to pin its ears back and come after the QB every play.

The Rams clearly OL is clearly not up to that task.

Give it to SJax. Give it to Richardson. Give it to Pead. Heck, run a reverse or two.

But YOU HAVE TO RUN THE BALL to keep the defense honest.

I'm sure Brian Schottenheimer knows this.

He can't forget it on Sunday.

Agreed. The Rams have to take and keep the lead. If they have to play catch-up Bradford will be beaten up and the game will turn ugly. Jackson needs to run straight ahead and not get cute. The defense will have to man-up, especially early.

First drive of the second half, Green Bay ran it 7 times for 38 yards. The drive went 70 yards and resulted in a FG (barely missed a TD pass on 3rd down in the red zone).

Rodgers has been beat up but he's still staying in the pocket taking hits and delivering passes. The Seatle pass rush is getting tired.

The Packers have run the ball just enough this half. No sacks given up, and they're about to take the lead.

The Rams have to keep it balanced this week.

I'm just hoping Sam Bradford is not watching this.

He won't sleep for a week.

But I agree, taking 5 or 7 step drops would be a disaster for the Rams. Give them a heavy dosage of runs, sprinkle in some screen passes, quick slants and be patient. Even if the runs don't gain much at first, they must stay with it. A good D can shut down the Hawks offense.

Re: How NOT to beat the Seahawks

Seattle is underrated, especially on defense. They look a lot like Chicago, but there is no doubt in my mind we can hold our own with them. Our OL is going to have to step up, and Shotty is going to have to make the proper adjustments, which is what Green Bay has done very effectively tonight.

We need SJ39 to start playing like he's capable of for us to have any success Sunday. Jackson does not play well against Seattle either...

This game should already be over. The Refs gave took away an INT with an absurd roughing the passer call, and then followed that up with one of the worst pass interference calls I've ever seen.

    OH MY GOD!!!!!

THE REFS JUST STOLE THE GAME FROM THE PACKERS AND HANDED IT TO THE SEAHAWKS!!!!

The strike must end. This is worse than professional wrestling.

It seems to me that in order to beat the Seahawks we'll need real refs.
