I say that the Rams do nothing until June, then cut him.

He's a little boy crying for attention. The team should not give him any.

Re: How should the Rams react to Turley?

Im sorry i say we keep him or trade him before the draft to a team for at least a 4th or late 3rd rounder...no sence in cutting him thats foolishness get something out of it. i dont care if he calles martz a pink skinned yellow bellied sap sucker to the press every game of the season, as long as he plays hard thats good enough for me....how many of you guys can say you get along with your boss or co workers all the time? and unfortunately he has a right to complain if he feels like it, as long as it doesnt affect the team on the field.
IMHO

I don't think the Rams need to react in any way. Just wait till he arrives in camp and see what kind of shape he's in.

Re: How should the Rams react to Turley?

By what i heard and seen on TV Wednesday i might think that Turley might be telling the truth about the ordeal. Whether we like him or not,we should just let things iron themselves out! not sure how i'd react if and i do mean if someone was lieing in this fashion per me!
What would you do in the situation? Call out Martz?,stay quite?,or move on (another team?)..................Hum?????????????????????????????

We don't know what happened in there, but consider - he said on the Dan Patrick Show that he was done talking about the entire ordeal only to go on SportsCenter and continue addressing it. The guy can't even maintain one position in less than a week. I'm not sure what Turley has done to warrant trust in this issue, at least in terms of being trusted over Martz. This isn't the first time his name has been connected with threats of personal harm to someone else, you know.

Personally, I think the Rams should remain silent and let the pink slip do the talking during the summer. But it would be interesting to hear what guys like Nutten, Dishman, or Aeneas Williams - who played this season with injuries, toughing it out for the team - had to say about Turley's behavior.

Re: How should the Rams react to Turley?

Dan Patrick asked him a question and I guess they are buddies ,so he answered. If that is what is in question here!

Slightly different than going on national tv and doing what Turley did.

Based on some posts I have read lately, I can tell some of you guys are actually surprised and shocked that this happened, and I have to ask why that is. Based on his history and personality, something like this is exactly what was likely to happen sooner or later with this moron.

I say cut him just like we did with the "other cancerous tumor".

Re: How should the Rams react to Turley?

Can't cut him, it would be Salary Cap suicide. This is just Turley being Turley. See, he has the Rams by the shorts and knows it so he's mouthing off. He mouthed off in New Orleans, and he's doing it here. Just gain some weight A Hole and get in shape and EARN your stinking paycheck.

Re: How should the Rams react to Turley?

He's done in the NFL...The fact that he has dropped to 240 at his height tells me that he was playing with a little help( Barry Bonds) That expains his back injury...his frame wasn't built to support the weight and strength..The boy was a juicer and it wore him out..he knows it and is milking the situation for his last 15 min. of fame..TOOL

Re: How should the Rams react to Turley?

Turley has burned the bridge. Given the events that have taken place there is no way he can come back to the Rams.

The Rams should take the high road, no reason to get down into the mud and play this out in the media. It serves no benefit. Turley can go on making noise, but the media is already getting tired of the story. The 15 minutes is over.

Given Turley's injury, which may be career ending, combined with his weight loss, combined with the issues he caused in New Orleans and in St. Louis, he is not worth very much. Another team might give up a 7th round for him, but it's probably not worth the hassle.

Cut him in June. Some other team will probably pick him up for the league minimum (like Miami), but he probably won't last through training camp.
